For a breath, Pure Vanilla can only stare- before he finally cocks his head to the side and says, “Pardon?”
Shadow Milk’s smile falters, and he rolls his eyes. “Oh, come on,” he drawls. “I knew you weren’t the brightest, but come on. Shouldn’t you be happy to see me like this?” He grins once more, giving a wide flourish of his arms. “Just as foolish and content as-“ One hand sweeps forward, jabbing a finger sharply into Pure Vanilla’s chest. “You!”
Pure Vanilla grunts, momentarily wobbling before he pushes himself to his feet with the assistance of his staff. “I… No, yes, I gathered that you were mocking me—“
“Who isn’t?” Shadow Milk cuts in.

Summary
Sigma doesn’t exactly like Dazai, but they do begrudgingly respect him and what he’s doing for the Detective Agency. In order to meet his stakes, Sigma responds in kind, even if it means throwing their life on the line. They were supposed to die much earlier, anyway.
But they don't die. In fact, they wake up right when Dostoevsky smashes into the prison. It seems Dazai really will make good on his promise to get them out of Meursault alive, and he might even give them more than that.
He might just give them a home.
or, alternatively: an au where sigma wakes up in time to warn the agency about dostoevsky's plan (and the road to acceptance and healing that follows)

Summary
Blueberry Milk did not get sick, he was the Sage of Truth, immortal holder of the souljam of Truth, he could be struck down by no curse, no mortal mould. It would be ridiculous to assume otherwise, he just had a headache is all. Overwork, and stress from the effort of finding the cure to such a dangerous affliction.
There was no possible way it could be anything else.
