Pietro flashed a smile that didn’t quite meet his eyes. “I’m past help. They know that,” he said, far too casual for his ominous words.
“And Magneto?” Logan asked. “What does he give you?”

Summary
During a hot summer at the Xavier Institute, Peter wakes up and spends the day as he normally does: prepping the school for the return of the students, spending quality time with his teammates, delaying telling Erik that they’re related, and going on a mission to rescue mutants from an experimental government facility. Unlike any other day however, he makes an error in judgment that results in him dying a horrible death.
The next morning, he wakes up to find that none of that has happened, and he’s reliving the very same day all over again.

Summary
He wants nothing more than to tell Erik the truth, to watch his eight year old dreams become a reality. For Erik to take Peter into his arms just like he always wanted.
But Peter knows better. He knows that besides the fact that Erik is grieving, that he wouldn’t want a son like Peter. A twenty-seven year old kleptomaniac who lived in his mom’s basement for years. Who flunked out of high school and stole treats like a pesky preteen.
It’s a fact so resolute and so hurtful, it hits Peter like a weight.
Erik will never accept you, he realizes. He will never love you.
A stabbing pain hits Peter’s chest, the familiar feeling of dry petals against his tongue.
