Peter thinks about how sometimes cats will run off for hours on end only to return with a dead animal at their owner’s doorsteps as a sign of love and devotion. Then he thinks about how he’s been splurging on different brands of tea at the corner bodega and offering part of his lunch to Michelle – MJ – every day for weeks now.
Then he thinks about slamming his head on the lunch table repeatedly.

Or, the one where Convenience Store Manager Bucky helps Frequent Customer Sam out after a slushy spill and shenanigans ensue.
EXCERPT:
Bucky should have expected something like this to happen. He had seen Ty and Tandy over near the slushy machine earlier, but he didn’t put two and two together since the two usually hung out around the store during their shift when there was a lull in customers. No, he didn’t connect those dots until Sam came in alone around early evening, since he didn’t pick up the nephews on Wednesdays, walking over to that damned slushy machine to get a cherry slushy, only for the lever and faucet of the machine to fall off, the entirety of red slushy contents pouring straight onto Sam’s shirt, Sam saying, “Shit, sorry.”
“We’re going on break,” Tandy and Ty said, the two who totally caused this and ruined this man’s shirt, running out to the back of the store, which meant Bucky was the only person who could help Sam out here.
