i feel like this handled a lot of things really well, which i'm so impressed with. i also love the writing style. i don't know how to to explain it, but this is perfectly blended between modern-xianxia worlds. i also love how luo binghe is written in this!
super fun to read. you know how you can sometimes tell that the author is intelligent just based on the writing style alone? yeah. hilarious, but really insightful at times, which i didn't expect at all, and peak emotions. definitely 10/10.

never would have crossed my mind; glad it crossed this author's. fav line is xue yang dying with "the rapturous devotion of a martyr on his face" whilst staring at jiang yanli. so cinematic, poetic almost, such a strange expression for a man so twisted. why is it reminding me of val xavier burning to death (they are NOTHING ALIKE but also kind of are only val isn't evil psycho killer lol and lady is much firmer than yanli... BUT)
extremely well written, fleshed out very well without over-detailing every little thing, things left unsaid but understood anyway, very captivating writing, nnnngggggghhhhhhh
omg omg bnnbnggghhhhhhhhhh stop it right now. this is so good.
as a whole, very gritty and sore, but with a strange pureness of love despite everything. why is my heart hurting i didn't even like xue yang that much in canon fucking hell oh my god. just amazing.
