The retort’s still in line with whatever other teasing remarks they’d been exchanging, but the lighthearted atmosphere falls quickly. Something more heady and serious permeates the air now.
“I only meant, it's very boring.” Yor says, hand trembling in the air with her knife still gripped in its center, vice tight. “You wouldn’t find it… I mean..”
Unexpectedly, Loid takes her hand in his. He pries the knife from her grip with very little effort at all, mostly due to the strength of her grip failing when met with his own. When he sets it down, he doesn't let her hand go.
