Summary
Before he was Jiang Wanyin, Sect Leader of Yunmeng Jiang, he was Mu Qing, the Martial God of the Southwest. After the events of Guanyin Temple, Jiang Cheng has passed the heavenly trial and remembers his life as Mu Qing.
His followers and junior officials are waiting for their god’s return, but he can’t fully let go of his existence as Jiang Cheng.
Meanwhile, Lan Xichen remembers being Feng Xin and struggles very hard not to swear in the middle of Cloud Recesses.

Summary
Alhaitham gets hit by a curse which seems to have no effect - at least that's what everyone else seems to think.
But Kaveh knows better. There's something wrong with Alhaitham. He doesn't know what or how, but he is determined to get to the bottom of this.
Or: Alhaitham gets hit by a curse that inverts his feelings towards the person he was thinking about. And Kaveh only realises all the little things Alhaitham used to do for him after they are gone.

Summary
In a twist of fate, Jiang Cheng finds himself having to pretend to be Lan Xichen, while Lan Xichen has to play as Jiang Cheng back in Lotus Pier.
From the outside looking in, Jiang Cheng thinks to himself that Lan Xichen is a better him in every way- a better son, a better brother, and a better Sect Heir. He realises that his mother and Wei Wuxian are both particularly nice to Lan Xichen-as-him, and wonders where he had gone wrong.
Meanwhile, Lan Xichen realises that there is more to the polite and eager-to-please heir of Lotus Pier he met at Cloud Recesses, and starts to wonder.
