“Hwang Intak. It’s good to see you.”
The smile he wears would exude normalcy to anyone else. Intak knows this. It is a startling realisation, in what is otherwise a mundane moment. The little he knows about Seoul or university life or his boarding house or the building he is currently in, counteracted by every miniscule detail he knows about Jiung.
Like how he knows Jiung’s current smile is just a tiny bit tight around the edges. How his eyebrows are a tiny bit furrowed, the smallest of creases in between them, the kind Intak used to think about smoothing with a finger while pretending to just be making eye contact.
