Wasn’t that the funny thing? No one knew. Any one of these people Lance fell for impulsively and took to bed could be the one. The one that he grew attached to and chose to never let go of, the one that got to hold his heart as closely as his body… the one that stole the spotlight in his life and shoved Keith so far off stage that he blended right into the shadows.
Lance wanted it so very badly, had tried to force it so many times, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. Someone was going to fill that soulmate-sized hole in Lance’s chest and here Keith was showing off different shapes.

Keith's in love with Lance, and it's for that very reason that he finds himself in this situation. Helping Lance through a sexuality crisis, setting him up with other people, and eventually... volunteering to become friends with benefits.

Summary
Lance and his friends have been regulars at the Altea Dance Studio for years. Not just for classes, but to hang out, practice, and spend time with good people who love dancing. Every year, they audition to be one of the few representing Altea at the regional dance competition. Lance always auditions solo, but this year he misses out on auditions and blows his chance to participate. And so does his self-proclaimed rival, Keith.
Luckily, Shiro comes up with a brilliant plan: convince Lance and Keith to audition as a duo.
With a little convincing, and a lot of effort, these two might just be able to pull it off and go to regionals... or they might crash and burn.

Summary
Lance McClain constantly dreams of the day he'll finally meet his mysterious soulmate. They don't say much, if anything at all, but they leave him with gorgeous paintings temporarily tattooing his skin. It's not exactly the situation he hoped for, but when he feels the connection between them, he can't bring himself to resent them. As much as he wishes his soulmate would just talk to him, he's resigned himself to being patient. In the meantime, he has a loving family and good friends to help him get by.
Keith Kogane dreads the day he'll finally meet his obnoxious soulmate. He's just an art student who's struggling to find his place in the world. There's so much he hasn't been able to control in his life, and the thought of having a soulmate, just another thing in his life which he also has no control over yet can't do anything about, is a little terrifying. So he ignores the words that occasionally appear on his skin. He has other things to focus on: like being a new student at a big university where his childhood friend and step-brother go.

“Mail for you.” Lance’s mom gestured towards the table. She was pretending to be casual, Lance could tell. But she was watching him out of the corner of her eye, and it made him tense.
There was an envelope on the table. It was thick paper, and closed with a golden seal.
Lance picked it up and stared at it. He knew what it was. He had already decided that he wasn’t going. He couldn’t bring himself to. He could barely bring himself to open it.
He tossed it into the trash can.

Summary
When a new murder is reported to the police, crime scene investigator and detective Lance Mcclain is assigned to discover who this new serial killer is. This job will prove to be not as easy as past investigations, however, as this serial killer seems to also be a cannibal, incredibly intelligent, and possibly Lance's new boyfriend Keith. Drama and tension rise as he dives deeper and deeper into figuring out who this killer is.

"So, you’re not interested in anyone currently, right?” Lance barrels on, because fuck Keith, apparently. “That’s okay! Because we’re gonna find a male species from one of these planets for you! But first, we have to figure out your type, and then we’ll go from there.”
“We’re not doing that,” Keith mutters.
“Oh, we definitely are,” Lance replies, absolutely thrilled and, apparently, suicidal. “It’s happening! It’s happening. Don’t fight it, Keith,” he says, as though Keith isn’t going to fight this kicking and screaming all the way. “I’m gonna be the best wingman you never wanted."
Lance takes it upon himself to be Keith’s personal wingman the moment he finds out he’s into guys.
The rose? They have the entire universe to find Keith a boyfriend, and so, not all hope is lost.
The thorn? Keith’s only interested in one guy and it’s the idiot dragging him into this matchmaking hell.

Summary
Keith accidentally winds up in his future self’s body, who he then has to pretend to actually be because apparently the future is full of clones who will say or do anything to trick Team Voltron. In the future, anyone acting out of the ordinary is a suspect, and Keith can't afford to get his future-self killed by being incompetent. This is only made harder by the fact that he has to pretend to know what it’s like to be a boyfriend, because in the future, he and Lance are dating.
“I’m sorry,” Lance said gently. Keith could feel his words as much as he heard them, Lance’s warm breaths escaping against his lips. “I know you’re better, and I know you don’t like me worrying over you. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” Keith rushed to assure him. Play along, play along, play along. “I know you were just scared,” he guessed. “But you don’t have to be anymore.”
Lance sighed a long, drawn out sigh. “I know,” he said. And then, “I love you.”
Keith’s brain short-circuited. Oh, he thought. And then Lance’s lips were on his, warm and soft.

Half expecting to get kicked off the team, Lance is determined to train harder and keep the fact that he's upset about his loss of eyesight from his teammates. No harm ever comes from bottling everything up, right?

And Lance knows it’s his fault. He started it, after all, but at least the biting term of endearment made sense when he was the one doing it. Keith had been talking to him like they were some old married couple. The kind who’ve been married too long and don’t love each other anymore and gripe over meaningless shit, only managing to piss each other off even further.
That’s why Lance called him dear. Because it made sense in the situation. It was a calculated insult. A strategic jab.
Keith, on the other hand, is weaponizing the term of endearment without any rhyme or reason, simply to get back at Lance.
Or: Keith and Lance have gotten into the habit of using pet names as condescending insults. They're not really terms of endearment.
