Summary
When Buck is invited to a bachelor party at a gay bar, a handsome stranger causes him to have much more to celebrate than he expected. Takes place somewhere between mid season 2 and early season 4, because timelines schmimelines amirite?
Excerpt:
“You got a name, Brokeback?” The galaxies across his skin pulse with the guy’s muscles, capturing every change in lighting and refracting the beams back across the floor. Buck feels as if the Varsity squad has dropped in on his JV practice, all extra bulk and good stats and handsome smiles that make him ache to be playing at their level.
“B-Buck.” He stammers.
“You’re fucking with me.” Galaxy’s eyes sparkle just as much as his body. “You’re telling me your name is Buck the Cowboy?” He waves his hand like he’s been told a bad joke. “Come on gimme something real.”
“Evan.” He answers immediately. It now seems wrong not to have just started there.
“Evan.” The man repeats, and the low hum of the ‘v’ sound does something strange to his stomach.

Summary
After Tommy breaks up with him Buck decides to take a break from baking and try grindr instead. The results are better than expected
excerpt:
Buck swipes to another photo, a clothed one this time. Without so many distractions the strikingness of his eyes stands out like a beacon. He's relaxed, with a brown leather jacket in the corner of a brick-walled bar. It almost looks familiar but Buck can't put a finger on it.
The man looks flirtatious and hesitant all at once. One can sense the fond eyeroll a millisecond away. Buck wonders if Sal has a handful of friends pushing him to get back out there too.

Summary
“I'm not in love with you.” There’s a jolt in Eddie’s stomach at that. “I’m not secretly pining for you, or anything like that. I don’t even see you that way.”
“Oh,” Eddie says, then forces out a laugh he hopes sounds casual. Buck’s eyes are wide, honest, like he’s desperate for Eddie to be reassured by this admission, to believe him. And how much clearer could he be? He’s not in love with Eddie. That’s fine. Eddie never expected him to be. His now empty beer bottle hits the counter too loudly, “No, of course not.”
Or: Buck reassures Eddie that he's not in love with him. Eddie feels some type of way about that.

Summary
“Is everything okay?” Eddie asks, his tone shifting. The background noise crackling through the phone quiets somewhat, till all Buck can really pick out is the muted rubber impacts against concrete and indistinguishable shit-talking. It sounds fun over there. If you’re into basketball. Which Eddie is.
“Yeah, it’s fine. Well, no,” Buck says, and he knows that isn’t helpful. He remembers the last and only time he’d gone to one of those games, when he’d very swiftly destroyed both the mood and Eddie’s ankle because he couldn’t handle his own feelings. He wonders when he’ll stop being a lumbering bull in Eddie’s life.
“Are you alright?” Eddie asks, slow, like he’s talking to a scared child on a call, “Did something happen?”
“I’m fine. It’s just– My mom died.”
OR: Margaret Buckley dies. Buck is fine, but Eddie keeps showing up, and Buck really doesn't understand why.
