“Pomni said she was going to check on you,” Ragatha says, not stepping back when Jax walks further outside of his room, their bodies almost colliding against each other. Her frown deepens. “Did you send her away?! What did you do, Jax!”

She turns her body around, a maniac energy to her movements as she bangs her fist against Jax’s door. Pomni has had enough of everything about this, about him getting the last word in and not even letting her react. There’s so many feelings simmering inside of her that are just about to boil over and she doesn’t care if he doesn’t care, goddammit, he’ll deal with it.

Eventually, they make it back to a cottage on the edge of the wild savannah, presumably where their adventure is meant to continue. He doesn’t understand anything of what they are saying, his mind too preoccupied with trying to stay numb so he doesn’t think about Gumigoo’s hand on Pomni’s shoulder.
She doesn’t even like physical touch. Or maybe she does, when it’s Gumigoo.
or, Pomni has been ignoring Jax since their fight, and they stumble upon Gumigoo in another adventure.

On his second first day in the prosecutor's office, Simon was a dead man walking, ready to take on the world if it meant finally capturing the villain he had been hunting for years.
Now approaching his third first day in the prosecutor's office, Simon is a free man once more and hoping not to have to take on quite so much this time. All he wants is to win a few cases, make enough money to move out of his sister's house and start to rebuild his life. Simple.
If only people would stop making things so complicated.
