Summary
Back-lit as he was by the fire, Tormund’s shadowed face was unreadable, yet Jon thought he felt his friend’s horror in the trembling hand that rose to hover between them. Jon confessed, “I can hardly feel it.” A shiver ran through him when Tormund touched his stomach, his broad palm nearly covering the wound.
(After the Battle of the Bastards leaves Jon injured but not in pain, he struggles with the realization that resurrection comes with consequences. Unsettling, intimate consequences. Tormund helps.)

Summary
Fuck.
Jon's been saying that in his head for the last hour. Might've muttered it once or twice under his breath, too, though it's hard to tell since the inside of his skull feels like a yard of wet wool (heavy, tangled, and about as useful as tits on a breastplate).
Don't ask him how he got here. Don't ask if he's lost his wits.
He has. Must've.
Any man who stands in a smoke-stinking hut north of the Wall, arguing with his own shadow about asking another man for a favor like this, has already ridden past mad. The rest is just details.
Jon has a favor to ask. It's nothing. For Tormund. The problem is that Jon's not entirely sure it is nothing for Jon.

Summary
“Should call you the Ottawa Puppies,” says the Toronto centre, Svensson. As an insult it makes no sense, so Ilya ignores it, until he continues, “Hear Hollander keeps you on a short leash.”
Ilya is the captain, so if anything, he should be holding the leash. In English, you can be singular or plural, but he knows what Svensson is trying to say. He is saying Ilya Rozanov, you are Hollander’s bitch.
“Only sometimes,” Ilya replies, grinning. He wins the face off.
OR: Ilya trains himself to be a very, very good guard dog for Shane.
