Summary
“Hear the news?” Tig asked where he leaned against the chain link fence. He had a habit of going on the prowl, slinking around and listening in on conversations, or joining them if he felt like it. Tig handed off the cigarette to Chibs, fingers brushing the other man’s intentionally.
“Besides, how fucking hot it is out here?” Jax drawled and wiped sweat from his brow with a frown.
Chibs huffed in dry amusement and took a drag off the cig before passing it on to Jax, “Tell us, Tiggy.”
Tig hums, pleased at the acknowledgment, “We’re gettin’ a new nurse. The old bag we had finally retired.”
Jax cocks a brow. Now that was news. Any fresh meat inside prison walls was a new opportunity. He shifts his weight, leaning one arm against the fence beside Tig, “Yeah? Probably another old throwaway from the hospital. They give us the ugly ones on purpose.”
The other two snickered at the crass joke, but Tig shook his head, lips curling into that familiar smirk that looked a little crazy at the corners, “Nah, man. This one’s supposed to be fine.”
Jax scoffed and rolled his eyes at his club brother, “If it’s your type of fine, then I might as well brace for disappointment.”
