Summary
This was how the world began.
Soobin remembers the fire, the searing heat of the burn, and the gentle caresses of each lick of flame on his skin, but he could never forget how that fire slowly disappeared, and eventually, how it died out.
In the blink of the night, Soobin was met with the greenest eyes he had ever seen. They seemed almost otherworldly in their intensity, and no less beautiful for it - and in that split second, it suddenly disappeared from the dark.
Standing up slowly, he went into the black, and there he met his fate.
In which Prince Soobin finds out three things after waking up. First, he survived the fire. Second, he was locked up in a castle. Third, there was a dragon lurking in the shadows in front of him.

Then, the MNET Pepero Challenge. The stick breaks early. Their lips touch. On camera. Sangwon stays deadpan while An Xin wheezes, ears burning... but something shifts. Back at the dorm, when cameras are off, the teasing softens.
“That was really your first kiss?” An Xin whispers.
“You didn’t move away,” Sangwon says, eyes down.

Sangwon’s pulse hammers so loud that he worries the staff will be able to hear it at the announcement.
On paper, Sangwon is an Alpha. HYBE made sure of that when they added him to Trainee A, their doomed all-Alpha predebut project. Every document says he presented Alpha. It had been a logical guess, both of his parents were Alphas, but somewhere along the line a dormant gene had been passed along.
