“Lilith and Rosie are going to be mad at us.” Lucifer whispered around a giggle, glancing over his shoulder to make sure they weren’t being followed. Their footsteps echoed throughout the silent corridors — an accompaniment to the music that swelled from the ballroom. The staff that usually mucked through these halls were either servicing the castle’s visitors or given the remainder of the night off.
Alastor simply threw a smirk his way before lacing their fingers and dashing towards the door that’d lead them to the gardens. Lucifer dug his teeth into his bottom lip at a valiant attempt to smother his laugh and though quiet to the rest of the palace, the sound tilled softly beneath the crescendo of cellos and violas.
OR, Lucifer and Alastor sneak away from an important ball to steal a moment just for themselves.

Summary
