"You finally did it, Rumi." Squeezing her shoulder again, Bobby smiled up at her. "Welcome to Antarctica."
Rumi felt a warm feeling grow in her chest as she nodded at him, smiling gratefully, before he began to walk back towards the truck. Turning around to follow him, she was mid step when she saw the figure leaning against the side of the truck. Placing her foot on the ground, Rumi only had one thought before she slipped on a patch of ice.

“You two are the new sets of hands?” Her eyebrows practically disappeared into her hairline as the girls stopped a few feet away, still on the crunching gravel.
The taller girl spoke first, her voice steady. “Yes ma’am. My name’s Mira. Happy to help wherever you need me.” She tipped her hat slightly, a gesture of respect she’d learned long ago. She could practically feel the younger girl vibrating with nervous energy next to her.
“Yes, hi! I’m Zoey,” the smaller one chirped, her hands clasping together in front of her. A wide, earnest smile stretched across her face. “I promise I won’t let ya down, ma’am.” Mira fought the urge to roll her eyes, a familiar groan tightening in her chest.
The older woman on the porch let out a long, slow breath and pinched the bridge of her nose. “Well, I sure hope Bobby knew what he was doin’ hiring you two. I’m Celine. Welcome to Golden Star Ranch.”

Rumi touched her fingers to her ribs. She could feel the heat radiating from her skin, even through her clothes. A distant, miserable part of her said, this is going to hurt.
She pushed her fingers down.
The rib shifted.
The thing about telling one very big lie is that it requires a foundation of hundreds of smaller lies to hold it up, lies such as "I'm fine," and "nothing's broken," and "it doesn't hurt."
Rumi finds this out the hard way.

Summary
After Rumi's mother died, Celine took over her sweet coffee shop in Seoul. Rumi works there as a barista. Everyday two sweet girl buy their coffee there, Mira and Zoey. Mira and Zoey are a couple that befriend the shy and awkward barista. With time the friendship turns to more before everything in Rumi's life takes a tragic turn.
In this fanfic Rumi isn't a half demon, her patterns are old sh scars instead and Celine doesn't know about it... yet.

Mira looked confused. "Why would I be mad?"
"I…" Rumi's mouth was so dry that no amount of swallowing could properly wet it. "I woke up this morning, and I… I had… grown? Somehow, I have a… a…" She closed her eyes and ripped off the bandaid. "I have a—a dick!"
Rumi wonders what it would be like to have a penis and unintentionally finds out.
