Summary
This story started as a series of drabbles, ficlets, and could-have-been-canon scenes beginning in June of 1995 wherein Fred and Hermione slowly become more than friendly acquaintances. Similarly, this fic itself has gradually morphed into much more than that, and certainly more than I had ever intended it to be.
It’s now 250k+ words of my explaining by example all of the ways that these two could - SHOULD - have been canon, and what that might have looked like if it ran alongside the events of the original books (or most of them, anyway).
That said, this story is significantly darker than canon, and it touches on some of the trauma that was previously brushed over, as well as injecting some where it makes sense to have occurred. There’s plenty of humor and joy, but there’s also a lot of pain that, within the context of the story, has good reason to be felt.
Regarding the Underage tag, the characters are ages sixteen and eighteen at the first occurrence. If this upsets your sensibilities, this is not the story for you. Especially triggering content will be called out in chapter notes.

Summary
After an exhausting stint at the Ministry and an awkward breakup with Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger impulsively quits her job and moves into a tiny flat above Diagon Alley’s new arts district. A late-night chat with Luna Lovegood lands her a job at The Greenhouse, Luna and Neville’s trendy coffee shop, where she proves to be a very mediocre barista. Their most difficult customer, Draco Malfoy, is quick to complain about every badly foamed latte and insists she should be fired. Hermione is stubborn, Malfoy is infuriating, and neither of them can seem to stay away.

Summary

The year begins like any other. But the ground is shifting. The rules are changing. And the game everyone thought they were playing suddenly doesn’t look the same.
Because this isn’t a story about enemies. Or even allies.
It’s about what happens when two people are faced with a choice: keep playing the roles they’ve always known, or risk everything for something neither of them saw coming.
TLDR:
Hermione wants revenge, picks up a broom, and becomes the hottest problem Draco’s ever had.Tension builds. Clothes come off. Draco can’t look away.
Unfortunately for him, neither can anyone else.
Chaos, thirst, and jersey-related disasters inevitably ensue.
