Set post war.
Snape was saved from the fatal snake's bite much to his dismay, and by the most unlikely of people. Now he can't seem to escape his head and so, trapped inside himself he must listen to Hermione Granger as she visits him daily.
Hermione knew the man wanted to die, had seen it in the resignation in his eyes before they'd fluttered closed the first time. Still Madame Pomfrey was a force to be reckoned with and she'd been forced to help save him. Now she feels like she owes it to him to at least help him be comfortable. The medi-witches say he's only sleeping but she thinks there is more to it than that. -
