Summary
Toltec, Stanfield, Bighorn. Shuffling around parking lots. Buck gets down some of the warm applesauce cups the nurse gave them. He can’t take the pills on an empty stomach, and he’s been warned off solid food for the next few days. His nose wrinkles every time, but he doesn't complain.

The last thing Chris said to Buck was in a text message. You’re so embarrassing. Buck had replied with the emoji with the one big eye and its tongue sticking out.

Summary
“Hey, Eddie?” Buck’s voice calls cautiously through the phone. It’s too high. Something’s off.
Eddie’s pulse spikes. “What’s wrong?”
“Um. I’m now in a second situation.”
Eddie pulls up short. “I’m calling Cal Fire.”
“No, no, no!” Buck pleads. “Not that kind of situation!”
-OR-
Buck is injured on a hike and asks Eddie to pick him up. Oh, but Eddie is moving to El Paso soon, so the whole situation is actually about that.

Summary
“What does that mean, if I’m going?”
Buck opens his mouth, then closes it again.
“Everything’s in transit, I sold all my dishes, I’m sleeping on the floor!” Eddie argues, gesturing emphatically, “The flight’s in 6 hours. What do you mean, if I’m going? I’m going.”
-OR-
Eddie is going to move to El Paso, get a concussion, and save Buck from a fire. Not in that order. Buck and Eddie have trouble saying what they mean. Also not in order. The narrative is a mess because the boys are a mess. There, I said it.
