Stiles seemed to draw himself up, for a moment he was the same boy who had looked at Peter's alpha shift and told him he wasn't scared. He'd been lying but Peter loved his tenacity.
"I need your help." he said, and for some reason there was absolute certainty that Peter would help him.
Either he was just that desperate or he needed help with something that he knew Peter would enjoy doing. Or maybe he had a tantalizing offer to exchange for Peter's help.

“Give me a minute. I’m working up to it.” Derek’s hand slid from his neck up into his hair and then he gently guided Stiles’ head to rest on the Alpha's shoulder. For reasons that he couldn't name, Stiles let it happen.
"What did Scott tell you about being a werewolf?" Derek asked as his hand slid back to the back of Stiles' neck.
"Not much. He spent most of the last few days apologizing and looking like a kicked puppy." A growl rumbled in Derek's chest at the words and Stiles found himself whining in response and suddenly upset at the noise. 'What the hell?!'

Summary
Peter’s goals right now were simple. Find Derek. Force Scott to help. Kill all the Argents. Kidnapping the mouthy sidekick was supposed to be a short detour on the way to these goals. Stiles, however, isn’t about to let the rampaging alpha werewolf that has been terrorizing him and Scott for the past two months, get away without an explanation.
It turns out that understanding someone can lead to a certain amount of empathy. Empathy combined with a strong desire to save his friend, leads Stiles to make a decision that he wasn’t ever planning on making. Now he just has to stay alive long enough so he can panic about this decision later. Much later, after he determines why it is that Peter smells so good.
