Summary
Still on your knees, you watched Nekoma lose the second set in a row. It was hard to feel bad for your classmates when Bokuto bellowed your name, victorious smile crooked in place as he pointed a finger through the nylon net. “Wasn’t I amazing?!”
All you could do was lift your camera to hide your smile.

Summary
“She’ll be okay,” Panda said, like he read Toge’s mind. He seemed to mull over his words for a second before adding, “Clem’s tough as nails and has a heart of gold, but she’s had a rough year.” When he paused, Toge pulled his eyes from the lithe figure in a dirty school uniform and centered his gaze on Panda. He pulled a serious face—one tinted with wisps of fondness—and continued to say, “I really thought she’d find him this time.”
Fist tight in the pocket of his uniform jacket, Toge turned to watch her disappear around a corner. Mushroom braids trailed in the wind, a peak of navy blue as she slipped between two buildings. He rubbed his chest again, a flush (it was 100% the cold weather’s fault) tinting his cheeks.
He didn’t know who Clementine was looking for, but Toge couldn’t help but hope next time… he couldn’t help but hope next time, she found him.

Summary
Gojo.” They stood in front of her. He was even more devastating at close range. After all this time she still couldn’t look at him. Pathetic. She was goddamn pathetic. She dug her toes into the soft soil and forced her eyes his direction. She stared at him, her gaze burning through his blindfold until she grasped at the pools of infinity beneath the black fabric. His barely-there gasp told her he felt her presence. She wasn’t the same person he abandoned; part of her died with Hotaru. Now she was… she was jagged. “Why are you here?”
“Kinoko.” His voice was tender. How many times had he said her name like that when they were younger? A whisper delivered with a kiss. She’d been spending a lot of time in the clouds since Hotaru’s death, floating in a space between here and there. Memories of their late nights and frenzied touches were hard to avoid. “I have a favor to ask. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t urgent.”

Summary
He Tian acts in moments.
One moment he’s here, the next he’s there. One moment he’s kind, the next he’s sly. One moment he’s cuffed, the next he has Guan Shan’s jaw in a grip and a look in his eye that sharpens with a breathy thank you on Guan Shan’s lips. And it sounds nothing like gratitude but rather something more heated, more urgent, and no, it’s not gratitude — it’s a prelude.
Thank you, it says, for what you’re about to give me.

Summary
Kageyama chases Hinata into the convenience store when he sees the other’s bundled-up figure beside the vending machines.
“Boke,” he rebukes, Hinata’s nose the same reddish shade like the clown he is. The warmth from the heater by the counter raises involuntary goosebumps on his skin, the temperature difference palpable. What an idiot. “You’ll fall sick.”
“Won’t,” Hinata shakes his head, eyes shining stubbornly in delight. “I was faster than you. I win.”
or; five times Kageyama and Hinata find themselves in a convenience store across the years, and one other time.

Summary
He’s not jealous or anything. He’s actually really happy that his teammates—who have become good friends to him—like his boyfriend. It’s a relief, even, because everyone knows Kageyama can be a bit abrasive at times. So this is the best case scenario, honestly. Hinata is just sooo…happy.
Hinata gets jealous when he has to share his boyfriend.

Summary
The point is: Shouyou has never been one to shy away from confronting his own sense of duty and responsibility, nor how he can grow and learn from the experience. Even Omi-san praises him for this—a feat that he’s nearly as proud of as his entire volleyball career.
Shouyou can also say, however, that this time, it's not his fault, but Kuroo's, and maybe a little bit Oikawa's. He’ll even blame the JVA. Seriously.
If asked, Hinata would admit that he's lived a good life so far: a successful volleyball career, enriching friendships, and a boyfriend who loves him enough to make him a romantic promise after Hinata has a night of public drunken rambling. The only problem? Hinata has no memory of what he said that night.

Summary
“Oikawa,” Iwaizumi says, and when Tooru looks at him, he can read My best friend’s an idiot off the crease of his eyebrows. “Are you telling me you spent the last three years weirdly obsessed with Kageyama – I still remember the time you made us play him on a dumb whim, you know – and now you’re at his beck and call? Are you okay? What the hell is wrong with you?”
“I’m— I’m not at his beck and call! I said no last week. It’s… It’s like you said. I get bored easily. I saw him at the park a couple weeks after they played Nationals and called him a perfect little tyrant, and he pestered me into spending time with him after,” Tooru says. “I’m not a monster, Iwa-chan. If he wants the company of his cool, handsome ex-upperclassman that badly, who am I to begrudge him?”
Or: Oikawa doesn't know why Kageyama keeps asking to meet him on Saturdays. He also doesn't know why he keeps saying yes.
