Summary
“Jack.” Her chest rises and falls with heavy, anticipatory breaths as she gives him the command, permission, request all rolled into one. “Kiss me.”
He has always been a good listener, after all.

Summary
Yasmin smiles. She tilts her head forward, a little, closer to Harper again. Somehow. Impossibly. Her voice softens, but comes out steady and certain, wine-rich sweet. She repeats herself. "You're with me."
Blood rushing in Harper's ears. A song she doesn't know. Colorful lights, green and then red and purple and blue. Supple silk beneath her fingers, the empty black of Yasmin's dress, but then soft, warm skin. It's only ever this, the two of them. Maybe this is all it's ever been.
or: A closer look at Harper and Yasmin's night together.

Summary
“You were testing us. Testing me.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Jack leans forward on the small table and Mohan leans back, but her mouth is quivering. “Did we pass your test, Doctor Mohan?”
The smirk breaks through, a dimple emerging on her cheek and - oh, that’s disorienting. Jack collects himself while she glances at her phone. “Under ten minutes. Not bad.”
“Usually my clients aren’t actively avoiding me, so you’ll have to forgive me the oversight this time.” He takes her soda and sips idly from the same straw.
Her lips grow into something wider, wilder. “Guess you’ll have to do better next time, Mr. Abbot.”

Summary
A full smile blooms on Abbot’s face. “Dr Mohan, you have your own go-bag?!” He looks absolutely delighted as she rolls her eyes and reaches down to her backpack, fighting her own smile.
“You don’t get the goods if you make fun of me, Dr Abbot.”
His right hand moves from his leg to rest over his heart. His eyes dance at her as his features slip into a farcical mask of shock.
“Hey hey, woah woah, this is awe I’m giving you, baby!”

Jack and Samira become friends. It's totally fine.
