    Harry Potter was very lonely. Yes, he had friends, a good job, and just finished his mastery in defense, but it was usually just him and his son all alone at night when everyone else had families and lives apart from them. When he learned by chance that he may actually have some living family, it should have been an easy decision to reach out to them. Unfortunately, nothing comes easily to Harry. Harry's biological father just had to be the most difficult person in the world to get a meeting to see, and the absolutely most suspicious when confronted with a paternity claim.

    Tony Stark was very lonely. He and Pepper had recently broken up. His friends had betrayed him, and he was now forced to live with the very same people who had hurt him. He didn't think he could take one more blow and stay standing under it. Tony didn't have family; he didn't know what to do with family; too bad Tony's family wasn't sure what to do with him either, but they were going to give it a hell of a try anyway.

    Set just after Gerard and the Kanima have been dealt with. Stiles is recovering, physically, but falling apart emotionally. His relationship with Scott is strained almost to breaking point, he is finding it harder and harder to maintain his crush on Lydia and his Dad is no longer even pretending to believe the constant lies his son is telling him. Something has to break soon, and it looks like it might be Stiles, If only his mom was here, to help him cope. But she's gone, and all Stiles has left of hers is a recipe book, some old photos and the overgrown mess of her once fabulous gardens in the backyard. Maybe he should ask Derek to help weed them for the first time in years? At least that'd be pretty to watch. Except Sourwolf is more likely to bury him in the garden bed than help him with them, after Scott's betrayal and... all Stiles really wants to do is get some sleep.

    “Do you know what this heathen did?!” Stiles demanded, facing Jackson around the side of the board, but pointing his marker backwards towards the apartment across the way.

    “I probably don’t care,” Jackson admitted, sighing in annoyance.

    “He was watching Star Wars out of order, Jackson! Out. Of. Order! Not like, the original trilogy, then the prequels, then the sequels, oh no! No! He was watching them all willy nilly in whatever order he wanted!”

    “The tragedy,” Jackson deadpanned, coming around the entertainment unit so he was beside Stiles at the whiteboard.

    “Beacon Hills Sheriff, Stilinski speaking.”

    “Hey Mr. Stilinski.” Scott says, the words sounding foreign in his mouth. “Can I uh – ask you a question?”

    “Scott please, I’ve told you, call me John. But sure, what’s up?” The area around the Sheriff is quiet, he must be at home, or they’re having a slow night at the station.

    “Do you know…if Derek Hale has a mate?” He asks, still not really sure why he cares. Derek hadn’t been in his pack for the last 7 years. But still – that call had been a cry for help, and if Scott could help, he wanted to.

    John Stilinski stopped breathing for a minute, Scott could tell. “Why, Scott? Why do you need to know that?” He finally asked.

    “There was some kind of werewolf distress call. It was from pretty far away. I think it was Derek. I don’t know how I know this, but it’s basically a request for help, because a mate is hurt or dying?”

    The Sheriff hangs up on Scott.

    Or, the one where Stiles and Derek are mated, and the pack moves back to California, only kind of informs the McCall pack, and then Stiles gets kidnapped and almost killed.
