Summary
It took Liu Qingge much too long to realize he was being watched.
Freezing, Liu Qingge whipped his head around, sword half raised. Something had crawled from the dark space under the barrel.
It was a Dragon. Pure white with a large, fluffy mane. Only part of the creature was out of the darkness, hiding how long it truly was. One claw was gripping the wall, bright blue claws gently grasping some piece of metal. Its horns were lengthy and sharp with three prongs each, the same rich ocean's blue as its claws. The eyes that stared down from its slender face was the same blue, blue, blue. It seemed just as surprised to see Liu Qingge as he was to see it. There was no malice in its unblinking gaze, only curiosity as it examined him.
A song haunts the narrative between two souls as it forces them to confront fate. Shen Yuan reaches for the song eagerly, trying to prevent disaster. Liu Qingge curls his fingers in his ears, blaming himself for pain he's yet to cause.
