Kim Dokja only read the thing because he liked male lead's character. Thus, he has no idea what happens in the romance, and now to avoid it. In order to save his life, he decides to befriend the ML. The ML can't be that bad. right?
A few months later, on his hands and knees, trying to crawl away from the same ML, after thinking if he's misjudged every interaction they've had, he realizes that he really shouldn't have been so naive.
