"You know," Satoru said, and the small part of him that still had some morals, still understood lines and boundaries, was screaming at him to stop. "Before he left, Yuuta told me something very interesting."
Yuuji jumped a little at that, head snapping up as his eyes searched Satoru's face. Satoru smiled, casually resting his chin in his hand and his elbows on the table.
"What, uh..." Yuuji cleared his throat nervously. "What did he say?"
"What a funny story," he said cheerfully, as if the very thought of it didn't make him enraged beyond belief. "He told me he'd killed you, brought you back to life, accidentally started your heat, and then fucked you through it! Isn't that funny?"
There were consequences—for spending too much time in a torture cube consumed with thoughts of only one person, for admitting part of the help you'd been asked to give somehow included "helping" an omega through his heat, and for not being able to look the object of your newfound fantasies in the eye for fear of blushing your head off.

“Yuuji…” The slow change of Megumi’s tone makes him sweat. He shuffles on his feet and hides his possible shame behind another bite of the waffle. “Did you seriously forget your own birthday?” Incredulous. That’s what Megumi sounds like right now.
“Oh, thank god I didn’t forget an anniversary,” Yuuji sighs, slightly bending at the hips. Then he pops back up to steal Megumi’s phone off the counter, tapping the black screen to see that, indeed, it is his birthday.
“Huh, I… totally forgot,” Yuuji says, scratching the side of his head and setting Megumi’s phone back down. He ignores the little happy buzz in his stomach at the fact that he’s the black-haired man’s lock screen.
“Of course you did,”

The scent hit him as soon as the door opened. Saliva flooded his mouth, and a snarl ripped from his chest before he could stop it. He pulled the front door shut behind him, gripping the frame to steady himself. He dragged a breath in deep, tasting the scent that was so thick in the air it was nearly a physical wall, and groaned. Ripe peaches, dripping with juice. Sugary sweet rice dough. Warm, milky vanilla. Night-blooming summer jasmine. And, at the very base, a subtle curl of incense, warm and thick on the tongue. He wanted to get his fangs around Yuuji and bite. Sink his teeth in and gobble him up like a piece of the mochi his scent brought to mind.
