Silence. Dennis forced himself to look, to see whatever was coming – rejection, pity, horror, disgust.

“what’s got you so bold tonight?” hyunjin chuckles, trying to hide the way felix’s words fluster him. in truth, he sometimes misses their younger days; felix had been less guarded, less cautious about his image. less jaded about the world and the way it treats people like them.
felix’s gaze turns gentle, the teasing edge melting away into something softer. “i’ve just been thinking,” he whispers, “that i miss the way we used to be able to act.” he pauses, smile turning slightly predatory again as he adds, “that, and the way you look in that outfit is making me want to get on my knees for you.”

As Felix lay crumpled on the ground, soft, fluffy snowflakes begin to flutter from the sky, blanketing him and the forest floor in a fine layer of powdery white. It's so cold, but he's so hot — his insides are boiling, screaming out for a knot to cool the raging fire burning him alive, his scent glands overactive, pumping out powerful pheromones to attract the nearest alpha.
How can he do this all alone?
How can he make it through an entire week like this?
He can't.

The sound of a branch snapping in the quiet of the forest sends a bolt of panic through him. Soft, fleece ears twitching once toward the noise, Felix goes dead still, breath halting in his lungs.
