“Think, Your Highness,” the general walks closer, his voice a gentle caress over Xie Lian’s skin, “what can I take from you in a room like this? Where you hold no power, no strength, no escape.”
Xie Lian backs away.
“I don’t know!”
The general shakes his head, “That’s not a proper answer, try again.”
His foot hits the corner of the bedpost. He snaps his eyes to the bed, looks back at the general in front of him coming closer and back to the bed.
His heart stops.
“No…”
The general’s head dips in motion to the bed, “Do you want to take another guess?”
Xie Lian finds himself in a room with no way out after he was kidnapped in the middle of the night. He waits for the general who stole him to find out exactly what he wants from him.
