Summary
Hongjoong whistled low. “A tall order, sire.” He cocked his head to the side with a snarky smile on his lips. “And it comes at a steep price.”
Seonghwa’s father gripped the armrests of his throne. “Name it.”
Hongjoong paused to rake his eyes over Seonghwa. “You will give me your son in marriage.”
...
Pirate Captain Hongjoong is more powerful than the King. He knows it. The King knows it. Everyone knows it. So when the King begs him for an alliance, Hongjoong can name his price. And will this loveless marriage harden his heart like the pirate he’s been tied to?

“You’re crazy.” Seonghwa said.
“It’s why you love me.” Hongjoong giggled.
Love. A word so wrong, so anathema for the act they were committing upon one another, each time they crossed paths.
“Get in the bed. Now.”
“Make me.” Hongjoong challenged.

Hongjoong glanced down at the bag that had been dropped at his feet. Everything they had lost, everything he had lost, recovered. He looked up. A steel gaze was already locked on him. Before he could grasp the words, Seonghwa turned and walked back to the van. Everyone followed suit, leaving Hongjoong to slide into the front passenger seat last.

Summary
Park Seonghwa is the jewel of the Velvet Veil—untouchable, beloved, and perfectly trained to make powerful men beg for what they’ll never have. By royal decree, only the king may touch him. Everyone else is just a game.
When Kim Hongjoong walks in, smiling, sharp-eyed, and wrong in all the right ways, he plays by different rules, speaks in riddles, and looks at Seonghwa like he sees more than just beauty. Like he sees potential in him.
Their conversations start as flirtation, but underneath the banter, something far more dangerous is unfolding. Seonghwa can feel it in the way Hongjoong never asks for his body, only his attention. His thoughts. His time. His trust.
And maybe, eventually, his help starting a revolution.
