Summary
Punching Dazai while using Corruption had been incredibly satisfying, but it only reminded Chuuya of what he'd been missing since Dazai's defection from the Port Mafia. As it turns out, Dazai has been missing him just as much. Chuuya's got plans for their evening, but Dazai is late. Again.
Things only go more off the rails once Dazai challenges him to a drinking game.

“I remember you. You asked me that question about gravity some months ago, it was a good one.” He now leans a bit closer, and Chuuya holds his breath. “Didn’t realize you were so short, though.” Chuuya rolls his eyes immediately, what a jerk.
“If I kick you on the knees hard enough, you’ll be half of my height, and you look like a fish.”
Dazai laughs, throwing his head back a little. “Tempting, tempting, but I’ll pass, pain’s not really my thing. Nice gloves you have there, by the way, faux leather?”
Chuuya freezes, now what the fuck. He panics a little internally, but hopes the other doesn’t notice, and if he did, he doesn’t comment on it.
“Yeah, what about it, huh?”

Summary
When Dazai was very little, his father told him there was a Russian artist that spent his whole life only painting the ocean. Studying it, facet by facet and wave by wave until he could draw it as easily as he could breathe. He didn't get why - not back then. It seemed boring, almost, to recreate the same image over and over again. And yet: the art itself wasn't boring. It was beautiful, every single time. The reverence bled through every brushstroke, each aspect and highlight glorified in different ways throughout his portfolio.
Dazai understood it the moment he met Chuuya Nakahara.
Or, alternatively: Soukoku are completely and utterly whipped for each other, but (unfortunately) they're both massive idiots.

That one made Dazai’s fingers stop, twisted in red hair as he made a puzzled noise.
“I thought only diamonds could break diamonds, isn’t there a saying about that?”
The nip to his side was enough to tell him he needed to continue scratching his nails into Chuuya’s scalp or there would be serious repercussions, his face still squished into Dazai’s chest as the brunet gazed up at the ceiling, trying to picture a diamond shattered by something so dull as a hammer.
“Hardness and toughness are different,” Chuuya mumbled, shifting his weight slightly so he could toss his leg even further up Dazai’s thigh.
“Like the chibi?”
OR Chuuya finds Dazai in his final year art studio, adrift and uninspired.
