“Here.” Aaron returns with two steaming mugs of tea, handing one to Kevin. His Aaron. Who he’s only just recently let himself have, finally, after years of wanting, after fear holding him back. Finally he said fuck it, and Aaron, who is so unreadable on the surface but so tender underneath, who had been waiting patiently for him to get over himself as he put it, who really should not have given him a chance after the amount of times Kevin recoiled back every time they approached this precipice, had also said fuck it. Let’s do it. Let’s try this. And now Kevin will make a widower of him before he even has the chance to make him a husband. Tragic. “I put honey in it.”
