Opening Act

Summary:

Redemption and recovery may come at a steep cost, but the Rehearsal is over and it's time for Bonnibel and Marceline to decide if the price is one they're willing to pay.

Real talk: Well guys, I hope you weren't lying about wanting part 2 of the Musicology series, because here it is, Rehearsal's sequel! (Hooray!)

You'll notice Opening Act has an Explicit warning. While there will be graphic violence (I mean, come on, it's me), the rating is actually to cover a different issue: mental health stuff. I think I made it abundantly clear in Rehearsal that mental health is kind of a running theme in this series, and it has to come to a head. I'm going to try to make everything as un-triggering and such as possible, but I know some of you out there are very sensitive to that kind of thing, and I respect that.

Sadly, I can't say the chapters will come out quite as quickly as they did with Rehearsal, due to job-related duties and such. But this brings me to a question, so I'd appreciate your input! Do you guys like my chapters being as long as they were in Rehearsal, or would you prefer more, shorter chapters? I tend to write long scenes in my brain, but I just realized I never asked what you guys like! My bad. I ask now because I actually have a good chunk of chapter 2 done already, so let me know what you think.

I hope Opening Act lives up to your expectations and is an enjoyable read! As always, I do everything I can to make my stories worth your time.

The importation, commerce, and usage of all SILVER within the domain of the Candy Kingdom is hereby BANNED effective immediately.

This includes, but is not limited to, ore, coins, jewelry, alloys, weaponry, cutlery, dishware, plated objects, and both organic and inorganic compounds.

If you are in possession of any form of silver please see your nearest Banana Guard to arrange a meeting with Peppermint Butler, who will provide proper and adequate remittance in exchange for your cooperation. (That means he will give you nice, shiny things because you’re doing a rockin’ job in helping the kingdom out).

Her Majesty recognizes that this is kind of an inconvenience, and thinks you’re all super-awesome for doing this for her and for the good of the Kingdom.
