Until everything goes wrong.

(This is a bit rough in the beginning but I promise it gets better)

TW for this fic:
Suicide and self harm
Homophobia/use of homophobic slurs
Panic attacks
Hallucinations/ derealization- depersonalization

Notes:

Ok soooooooo I haven't written a fan fiction in AGES so don't judge me that hard.

I've read way too many neglected Tommyinnit fics so I decided to give it a try

There are probably gonna be many spelling and grammar errors, just a little warning

Also English isn't my first language so don't expect too much of this fic I was just bored and figured I would do this

Anyways, here's the first chapter

Chapter 1: Tommy didn't mind

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

As much as Tommy hated to admit this, the Minecraft household had always been like this.

Quiet, empty.

It was fine though. Really.

Tommy didn't mind, he was used to it.

He grew up with doors being slammed in his face, with Wilbur and Techno ignoring him, screaming at him.

The small, wooden closet in his room became his safe space.

He would go in there and hide every time things got too much, every time his brothers said something too mean, every time he felt unloved.

It was his escape from reality.

Tommy was convinced that if he tried hard enough then maybe, just maybe, his brothers would start caring for him.

Eventually, he stopped trying.

His parents weren't any better either. He never got to know his mum, she died giving birth to him.

Maybe that's why his family hates him.

His dad was too busy caring for his other children, never really doing anything other than glancing at Tommy every once in a while.

It's fine though, Tommy didn't need him anyways.

He didn't need any of them, actually.

He would figure out how to grow up on his own.

It couldn't be that hard.

Right?

Years passed and his brothers moved on.

Wilbur left when Tommy was 9.

Apparently he went out of state to study at some college? Tommy didn't really know.

Nobody cared enough to tell him.

He just woke up on a random Tuesday and Wilbur was gone.

It was fine though, Tommy didn't mind. They were never really close anyways.

Who cares if Wilbur never said goodbye?

Tommy spent that day sobbing in his closet.

Wilbur stayed in touch with his family, he would call and talk with Techno and Phil at exactly eight in the afternoon, every day.

He never asked about Tommy.

It was fine though, Tommy didn't mind, he had homework anyways, talking with his brother would waste his time.

The following year, Techno left the same way.

With both Techno and Wilbur being gone, Phil had a lot of free time, so he decided to start working more.

He would go to work early in the mornings, right before Tommy woke up, and he would return at around 10pm, calling Wilbur and Techno as soon as he got home.

Tommy would sit by the stairs and listen in on their conversations, learning everything about his brothers’ new lives.

After each phone call, Phil would lock himself in his room.

He didn't really talk to Tommy but it was fine.

Tommy didn't mind. He never did.

You wanna know why Tommy didn't mind?

Because he had the most amazing friends.

Right after Techno left, Tommy decided to join his school’s soccer team.

He was never really into sports but hey, it couldn't hurt to try!

That decision changed his life for the better

By joining the soccer team, Tommy met Tubbo and Ranboo.

The three of them instantly clicked.

Maybe fate brought them together or maybe they just got lucky. It honestly didn't really matter.

What mattered was that Tommy, for the first time in his life, felt like he belonged somewhere.

The three boys immediately became inseparable. They would spend all of their time together, whether that was at school during class, during lunch or during practice.

After meeting them Tommy spent less time in his closet.

As years went by, Tommy grew up.

He turned fifteen.

He realized he had never celebrated his birthday with his family

Tommy stopped listening in on Phil's phone calls with Wilbur and Techno.

He did not know what his brothers were doing with their lives.

And he did not care.

Techno and Wilbur graduated from college and moved in together in a place far away from home

It was fine though, he did not mind.

He was doing pretty well actually.

The soocer team had become a huge comfort for him. It made him feel like he finally belonged somewhere, like he finally had a place he could call home

He met all of his friends there.

Coach Sam was someone Tommy really looked up to.

Tommy had never met anyone like him. The dude was a complete badass and an absolute sweetheart at the same time. He was extremely caring and supportive but he was also really strict. He took soccer really seriously. He was so hardworking and he always pushed everyone to be the better version of themselves. He always made sure that Tommy was okay and he was just there for him when things got hard. Sam basically became Tommy's role model, some would even say that he was sort of a father figure.

Sapnap, George and Dream joined the team when Tommy was eleven, they are all one year older than him.

To sum it up, Sapnap and Tommy have a love-hate relationship.

They are always bickering getting into stupid arguments that usually result in Tommy stealing Sapnap's bandana and running around the field while Sapnap chases him and threatens to burn him alive.

George, in Tommy's eyes, is basically a god. He just can't do anything wrong.

That pretty much explains their relationship..

Dream.

Dream is probably the person that Tommy loves and admires the most.

Not enough words can describe the relationship these two have.

No matter how much they fight and scream, they understand each other better than anyone.

Dream payed attention.

He noticed things.

He noticed how Tommy flinched every time someone mentioned anything about family.

He noticed how no one came to support Tommy at their games.

He noticed how Tommy always walked back home, never being picked up by any family members.

He noticed the meaning behind Tommy's “jokes."

How could he not?

After all, him and Tommy were going through the same thing.

Dream made it his mission to make sure Tommy never felt alone. Ever.

He became the brother Tommy never had.

Tommy could not be happier.

Oh and Ranboo, Tommy and Tubbo were in a queer platonic relationship now.

Tommy is currently seventeen and he's the happiest he's ever been.

Life at home hasn't really changed much but he doesn't care. He stopped caring a while ago.

Tommy is surrounded by people who love and care for him. That's all that matters. Things are just perfect the way they are and nothing is going to ruin that.

Right?

Notes:

Ok so that it is the end of chapter one

Honestly, I don't really like it but oh well, who cares?

If anyone actually read this ily

Plz tell me if it's really bad
