Chapter Text
It was a stormy night in January, Cleo huffed as she walked around the street late at night, she checked her gold watch, it was about nine forty five. Cleo rolled her eyes, she had her limo on speed dial in case she needed a ride home.
She was just out of a meeting for her work, another unsuccessful collaboration with a neighbouring magazine, they weren't as fancy as Cleo, but she thought something new would uplift her perspective to create something new and amazing.
She rolled her eyes once more and told herself to forget, she'll come up with a new plan tomorrow. Cleo looked around the city and decided to get a drink somewhere, she deserved it.
Eventually she landed in a cool Greek restaurant, she smiled, Greek food was always one of her favourites, it looked almost closed, perhaps she could just get a takeaway and head home if she couldn't eat in.
She entered and went up to the counter, nice selection of wine, Cleo smirked and hoping a waiter would come by soon. As she scrolled through the menu that was on the counter, someone entered from the back.
"Sorry, we're about to close, I can make you up something tomorrow." a voice said, Cleo's eyes widened as she saw who stepped out. The one and only, Deuce Gorgon. Looking well, he was frozen in place, staring at her through his shades.
"Cleo?"
"Oh my Ra." Cleo breathed, she stepped over and smiled "Deuce!"
"Hey!"
Deuce smiled and the two embraced immediately, it had been a long time. Deuce was looking well, he was in a chef's uniform so she assumed this was where he worked. He had grown up a lot, she noticed, he was looking incredibly well. Once they pulled away, she couldn't stop grinning.
"I can't believe it's been so long." She remarked, Deuce chuckled "Yeah, how- how've you been?"
Cleo shrugged "Been good, I run a magazine now, and I see your cooking talents have paid off."
Deuce chuckled, and smirked, Ra she's missed that smirk. "Indeed."
Cleo smirked "Any chance I can get a late meal? Or a drink?"
Deuce narrowed his eyebrows "Only if I can join."
Cleo laughed "Of course, royalty wouldn't turn down an old friend like you."
"Old friend? Really?"
Cleo laughed, Deuce smiled "I uh, I have to clean a bit, but I know a great bar we can go to, if you're willing to wait."
Cleo nodded "Yeah, sure, how long."
"No longer than ten minutes."
Cleo nodded, Deuce headed back to the kitchen to finish up cleaning. A small while passed before Deuce came back in his regular clothes, he held out his arm to her "M'lady."
Cleo smirked and linked her arm with his, he guided her out and sooner or later they were at a bar. Once they were seated and had ordered their drinks, Cleo observed him, he hadn't changed his punk rock look, well she hadn't changed her look either, but what Cleo did notice, was that he had tattoos now. On both arms, they were intriguing.
"Nice tattoos." she told him, Deuce smirked "Thanks, I started getting them a while back, I get a new one everyone few years."
"So how's life now? I mean apart from the clearly successful career you got." Cleo asked.
Deuce smiled, he was charmed "Successful huh?"
Cleo smirked "I mean, I walked in didn't I? And you know me, I have very specific taste."
Deuce smiled "Glad to know I have the Cleo de Nile approval."
Cleo smiled "And about your personal life?" she asked, Deuce smiled, a sweet genuine smile.
"It's good, very good." Deuce answered. Cleo smirked "Seeing anyone?"
Deuce raised his eyebrows "No, why?"
"I'm just making conversation, Deucey,"
Deuce chuckled "Are we on nickname bases now?"
Cleo smirked "We're hardly strangers." she remarked, her hand reaching over to touch his, Deuce smiled "Definitely."
Cleo smirked, and the night carried on, it wasn't long before the two were laughing the night away, it was one of the best nights she's had in weeks, it had been years since they last spoke.
Their breakup in collage wasn't harsh, it was more of a mutual decision, with the distance from each other, and the less and less time together, it felt easy, but still heart wrenching to call it quits after everything.
Alas, time went on, and it became a memory, until now, now Cleo was smiling softly as she faced him in a bar, she was very happy that he seemed great in life. He seemed glad to be here with her too.
Deuce's hand reached over and held her hand "What about you? How's your personal life like? Still acting like a princess?"
Cleo scoffed teasingly "I am a princess,"
"Okay princess, then how's the royal life?" Deuce asked, his thumb rubbed her hand softly, the action was sweet, affectionate and nice.
"I'm the boss of my own magazine, and I have my own mansion. I pretty respected, as I should be."
Deuce chuckled "Your own mansion? Must be nice, and weren't you always respected?" Deuce responded, Cleo chuckled "Yeah, so no mansion for the hot chef in a successful restaurant?"
Deuce chuckled nervously "Well, things a bit different for me."
Cleo nodded "How's running a restaurant?"
Deuce shrugged "Tiring, but it's worth it, I made up the entire menu, proudly."
"You should be proud, best Greek food I've ever had."
"Oh I know, you used to beg me to cook for you."
Cleo scoffed "You were my boyfriend! You loved it, don't pin this on me."
"Okay, princess."
Cleo eyed him and took a sip of her drink, Deuce looked her up and down "You have something important on tonight?" he asked, eying the fancy dress she had been wearing.
"I had a meeting for a collaboration, and it didn't work out, hence ending up with you." Cleo explained. Deuce raised his eyebrows "What do you mean?"
"They backed out, cowards, I had a great presentation. And what kinda idiot turns down royalty?"
Deuce smiled, and she continued to vent a little more of her frustrations out when she noticed that he was laughing, she glared "What's so funny, dude?"
Deuce laughed stopped "Did you just call me dude?"
Cleo continued "Why were you laughing?"
"Because you're cute when you're angry."
Cleo blushed, damn it she hadn't felt like this in a while, non of her past relationships ever compared to what she and Deuce had, seeing him again was completely out of the blue, totally unplanned and just a fun surprise. Yet, it felt right, like they were destined to meet again.
"Cute huh? Are you flirting with me, Deuce Gorgon?" Cleo asked, Deuce shook his head, blushing, then he took a gulp of his drink "Just making conversation."
Cleo nodded "Okay," she said, not believing him "I'm single, by the way, if you wanted to know." she remarked, looking away, Deuce raised his eyebrows "Oh, cool."
Cleo smirked and continued to finish her drink. Deuce was quiet for a moment before they started another conversation, and until it got late and bar was closing.
As they exited the bar, Cleo wondered what do to now, they had been talking for hours, it was late, yet she didn't want this to end, she looked to him and smiled "This was fun."
"Yeah, I have a really nice wine at my place? If you wanna come over?" Deuce asked, Cleo smiled and took his hand "I'd love to."
Less than half an hour later, they were outside his place, an apartment in a building just down the street. Deuce was fidgeting in his pockets for his keys as Cleo leaned against the door, "You didn't leave them at the bar right?"
"Nope,"
"They have to be in there somewhere," Cleo scoffed, shoving her hand into his pocket, and after some shaking around she fished them out "You're welcome." she stated as she held them up, dangling them from her fingers.
Deuce pursed his lips together and got closer and took them out of her hands "Thanks," he whispered, his face was inches from hers, Cleo stared into his shades, feeling his hand run to her waist, Cleo continued smirking "What are you waiting for?"
Deuce smirked, his other hand ran up her cheek and cupped it lightly, "Nothing." he responded, before he guided her face closer until he finally closed the gap and kissed her, she smiled into the kiss, passion slowly consumed her, and her arms wrapped his neck, and their lips practically addicted to each other, Deuce was a good kisser, and things began to escalate, he opened the door from behind and she grabbed his collar to guide him in.
Once the door was closed and their jackets were slipped to the floor, he scooped her up till her legs were around his torso, his lips beginning to mark her neck, she sighed gratefully and buried her hands in his snakes and felt his hands fiddle with her bra.
A few moments later, she was laying on her back on his bed, almost ripping his shirt off, once she had successful took it off, she had flung it away, it accidently hit a vase, Deuce looked up "Oh shit."
"Oops," Cleo remarked before she giggled, Deuce smiled, he didn't seem to care, she brought her hands to his neck and smiled as she guided his head down, kissing him again, Deuce kissed back, matching the amount of passion she was feeling, her mind washed away, all she could feel was him.
Deuce stared up his ceiling, hours later, his hand was holding Cleo's, both under the covers, not wearing any clothing, the two hadn't said much in the past few minutes since they finished, man that was his night well spent. He hadn't exactly planned hooking up with her when they met at the restaurant, but their evening was fun, they talked and laughed, she was doing well, doing amazingly well, and she looked beautiful.
Gods she was incredible, Deuce looked over again, her eyes met his, and she started giggling, Deuce raised his eyebrows "Is there something on my face?"
Cleo shook her head as she buried her face in her hands, she took them off a minute later as Deuce propped his head up on his hand, she turned and faced him "Its just, I always had some silly fantasy that.."
"That what?" Deuce asked, as Cleo looked away, blushing slightly, he pulled a hair away from her face and slipped it behind her ear "I always had a thought that we'd- meet again or something,"
"We just had sex,"
Cleo glared, "I'm aware,"
Deuce smiled, he knew she was being serious, but was fun to rile her up, no matter how many years it had been, he could still read her like a book. She smiled again "I had thought about it, because you were a huge part of me, and my unlife and now I'm in your bed, after hooking up with you like you were some random stranger," she laughed.
Deuce chuckled and joined in her laughed, he grabbed her hand and kissed it "I think it about it too."
Cleo softened "You do?"
"Yeah I think about what would happen if we met again, and I now I know it was worth it to go out with you tonight." he told her, pressing sweet kisses against her skin, Cleo smirked "Why? So you'd get laid?"
Deuce moved closer and kissed her bare shoulder "No, because I really liked talking with you," he explained, Cleo was blushing furiously at this point, it was adorable. She moved closer to kiss him the lips, Deuce kissed back, slowly, drinking in every taste of her again, she was intoxicating, part of him knew it was silly to think, but he always liked to think that she was the love of his unlife.
Maybe, he finally had this love back, for good, and he wasn't one to let it go again, he slipped his arms around her waist and slipped her closer, she smiled into the kiss and pulled away, laying her head on his shoulder, her eyes wandering his face.
She reached for his shades and he grabbed her hand "No," he said sternly, she pouted "Why not?"
"No eyes, not today, we're going to cuddle."
"Deucey that's mean."
"What you don't like cuddles anymore? Wow babe you changed,"
Cleo rolled her eyes with a small smile "Fine, we'll cuddle, but I missed your eyes, so you owe me them one day."
Deuce smiled, she laid her head back against him and he kissed her forehead, as his arms remained wrapped around her, she tangled herself to him softly, he could feel her bandages on her thighs and held her closer, as they cuddled softly in silence, it wasn't long before fell asleep soundly.
As the morning rolled around, Cleo woke to nice sunlight, and arms around her, she opened her eyes and examined herself, Deuce, he was sleeping soundly beside her, she pressed a kiss to his cheek and smiled softly, he was still an adorable sleeper.
A moment later, she felt his hand move, he grabbed his sunglasses and put them on before opening his eyes, "Morning," he said, sounding tired, Cleo smiled morning, Deuce kissed her forehead "How'd you sleep?"
"Good, your bed is comfortable."
"Good, do you want breakfast?" Deuce asked, Cleo's eyes beamed in excitement "Yes, I do." she answered. Deuce smiled, he got up from the bed and slipped on his boxers, and a tank top, Cleo got up too and wondered if he had anything for her to wear, she was just in her bandages that were wrapped around her thighs and some of her hip.
Deuce passed her one of punk rock T shirts, she slipped on her panties and then found his cotton black robe "This is royal, and expensive," she remarked as she examined it, it was very soft. Deuce smiled "It was a gift from mom." he informed, Cleo gasped and smiled "How is Maddy these days?"
"She's good, she's in Greece, with her new ghoulfriend." Deuce explained, Cleo smirked, slipping on the robe she found, it was very comfortable, Deuce pouted "That's mine."
"And I'm stealing it," Cleo remarked, Deuce shook his head and hugged her from behind "You can ask you know," he murmured, kissing her neck gently, Cleo sighed and moved her neck to give him better access to her neck, she smirked "I could, but I'm already wearing it." she responded. Deuce chuckled and she was sure her neck was marked now, even more marked than it was last night.
Deuce moved away and grasped her hand, walking out of his bedroom. He lived in what looked like a one or two bedroom apartment, his living room and kitchen were connected and there wasn't much separating them, but it was nice, some of the white tile, reminded her of when he brought her to Greece on summer holidays.
As he headed to the kitchen with her, she looked around as he headed to his fridge for food, Cleo noticed, he wasn't exactly clean. His couch had blankets draped over it, and he had a stack of video games, a console by his tv, a few remotes, he must still play a lot.
She settled on a high chair next to the tile island in kitchen and leaned her head on her hand, smirking she asked "So, what's on the menu, Deucey?"
Deuce smirked, and blushed a little, she had used that nickname a lot last night. "I'm thinking homemade waffles." He answered, Cleo clapped her hands together "I love waffles." she beamed.
Deuce smiled "I remember,"
Cleo blushed, her heart was fluttering, he was incredibly sweet, it was impossible to think that they would go separate from here, she wasn't an idiot, she could tell his was into her, and that this wasn't going to end up a one night stand. Deuce didn't seem like that type of manster, but then again, she didn't know, he was different now, more grown up.
Different or not, Cleo still found herself very attracted to him, perhaps after breakfast they could continue to spend the day together, work can wait, after all: it's not everyday she ran into Deuce Gorgon.
While Deuce hit the radio to blast some tunes and started making up some delicious waffles, Cleo decided to pick up her jacket from the floor last night, most of her stuff ended up scattered in the matter of minutes last night, as she picked up to fold it and keep in good condition.
As she held it up, her eyes caught attention of photographs in the hallway by the front door, leaving the jacket on the hanger, she gazed at his framed photos, some old and some recent ones.
She smiled at a photo of what looked like his collage graduation, Heath and him went to the same collage, Clawd was in the photo too, they were all smiling, she looked around once more, Clawd and Heath were in a few, clearly they kept in contact, it made her happy, the dudes are always close.
Cleo had kept in contact with her best ghouls too, they were off with their own unlives now, but the strong friendship was still there. She looked at the photo's again, some were of him and his close family, his mother, his aunts, his cousins, then some of just him at concerts and other fun things.
While looking curiously, her eyes had narrowly missed a photo of him with a smiling little ghoul. His unlife looked great, it was making her very happy, she hoped he got everything he wanted when they split, he deserved it.
When Deuce had finished the batter, he realized his royal audience had left him, he looked around and found her staring at his photographs in the hallway, he quickly put the waffles in his waffle maker, sighed and stepped forward.
Cleo was staring deeply at the photo's, he went up behind and slipped his arms around her waist and torso, pulling her close to his body. Cleo seemed surprised at the affection first, but then responded by wrapping her hand into his.
"Nice photos." She commented, Deuce hummed in return "Thanks."
"I happen to notice, there's none of me." she whined, Deuce laughed, kissing her temple "I don't have any recent ones, just old ones from high school, it would be creepy."
"But I'm so memorable." she whimpered, Deuce giggled, pulling her closer, she leaned into his embrace "Tell me about the photos." she asked, Deuce nodded, his head leaning against hers, he pointed to the first few, telling her about his collage experience with his friends.
Then he told her about some of his chef achievements, she beamed at him "That amazing! I'm proud, Deucey," she told him, Deuce's heart warmed, the joy he felt was beginning to feel unmatched to anything he's felt with any of his romantic partners, he hoped this would perhaps lead to them having a future together, one where they wouldn't separated.
Deuce held her hand tighter and turned her around, she leaned in and wrapped her arms around his torso "Anything else you can brag about? I'd love to hear more stories." she remarked, Deuce smiled, he turned to photo of Callie settled in a green frame, he wondered if it was time to tell her, he didn't want it to be a secret.
Cleo turned and looked expectantly at him, he stared into her eyes, gods he spend all day in her eyes, they hadn't changed at all, he blushed "Maybe, but I like talking over a good meal, the foods gonna burn."
Cleo smirked, "Okay." she said, Deuce swung an arm over her shoulder, and the two ended up staring at each other's eyes, Deuce looked down to her lips, food could wait, he leaned in and soon had her lips captured in a sweet kiss. Cleo reciprocated desperately, her tongue greedily meeting his.
Her hands moved up until her arms wrapped around his neck, his hands were planted firmly on her ass, and the two were stuck together like glue, heat and lust surrounding them, as they continued to kiss each other, Cleo ended up against the wall and he was pinning her to it, she eventually pulled away, with a bit of a pout "I don't like burnt waffles."
Deuce smirked "Fair point." he remarked, and the two sat at the island together, he set out two plates and placed the waffles on them, Cleo smiled and grabbed the yogurt and berries, Deuce smiled, after all this time, she loved his cooking more than anything.
Cleo moaned into her first bite "Oh my Ra, these are exquisite," she told him.
Deuce smiled "I know, I amaze myself sometimes,"
Cleo smirked, she enjoyed eating his meal, he poured her a cup of coffee and began eating himself, this was the best morning he's had in a while. He knew it had everything to do with Cleo. When he didn't have Callie, he was usually alone in his place, but now, he had a one of a kind ghoul by his side.
Deuce mentally reminds himself that it's been one night, and he's thinking about seeing her all the time, he wasn't sure what she was thinking, but so far, she seemed on the same page as him.
As they eat in silence, he gazes over to his photos of his beloved Callie, she was one of the reasons his life was so great, her spunky attitude and happy smile was something he lived for.
As he's gazing over and thinking about Callie, Cleo had walked over to the photo's again, holding her waffle in a napkin neatly, Deuce went after her, once he reached her, he laid his head on top of hers, she moved his arm to drape it across her torso "Tell me more about the photos, I feel like I'm missing something," Cleo told him.
She was right, Callie hadn't come up in a conversation yet, but he wanted to tell her, it was only a matter of how. He didn't know if she'd still be around if he told her, she wouldn't be rude about it, but Cleo never talked about having kids in her unlife, and some of his past flings ended because they didn't want kids.
"Well, I'm thinking of asking this ghoul out, but I'm wondering if she'll say yes, there are factors." Deuce explained, Cleo giggled, leaning into a comforting embrace, then facing him slightly, "You're joking right?" she asked, as she gazed up at him.
Deuce shook his head "I have things to consider."
Cleo smirked "And those are? Is she not to your liking?"
Deuce shook his head again "Not in the slightest, she's an incredible ghoul, we knew each other once, but that was a while ago."
"Do you like her?" Cleo smirked, Deuce nodded "Very much so." Cleo seemed to like the third pov, and he knew that she knew he was talking about her, she laced her fingers into his once more "Then what's to be considered?"
Deuce hesitated, "I don't know if she'll say yes, if she'll wanna stick around."
Cleo scoffed, then smirked "Maybe you need convincing."
Deuce smiled, and Cleo kissed him again, his hand laid rest against her waist as she cupped his cheek, kissing him deeply, Deuce wasn't sure if it was possible but he felt like he was falling in love with her again, he kicked that thought out of his mind, probably too soon to think like that.
Deuce mentally sighed as he continued to kiss her, he had to tell her, she deserved know, he pulled away slightly "Mkay I have to tell you something."
Cleo didn't seem to hear, she kissed along his jaw and stayed close "What? You have to tell me how much you want me?" she guessed, Deuce's let out a breath, she was seducing him, and it was working.
"Not that, although it's true." Deuce responded, as Cleo's fingers got tanged in his snakes, that felt good. He didn't try pull away, even though he knew should if he was going to tell her, even though the temptation to bring this to the couch was strong, he had to be honest.
He abruptly pulled away and ended up blurting it out "I have a daughter!"
Cleo blinked in surprise and stepped back a bit, Deuce mentally 'Shit.'
Cleo's mouth was gapped, she was clearly surprised, and he wasn't exactly subtle, he cleared his throat "Uh, I'm sorry, I did not mean to tell you like this, that was blunt."
Cleo nodded "Yeah no shit."
Deuce looked at her, she was avoiding his gaze, then she stepped to him, looking at the wall of photo's, she smiled, that was a good sign.
"Is this her?" Cleo asked softly looking at a framed photo of them, Callie was sitting on Deuce's shoulders, they were smiling, Deuce nodded "Yeah, that's Callie, my little ghoul."
Cleo grinned "Callie?" she asked, Deuce nodded, this was going well.
"Calliope is her name, but we call her Callie," Deuce explained, Cleo glared "We? Are you married? Because I swear to Ra, I am not staying with you as a dirty mistress, Deuce Gorgon!"
Deuce shook his head immediately "No no no, I am not and never was married!"
Cleo pouted, he tried not to laugh, her jealousy was adorable. He put an arm around her "Callie's mom, Harper, she's still around, but we haven't been together in years."
Cleo gapped "Oh, that makes more sense," she said, laughing nervously, Deuce pulled her closer, Cleo leaned her head against his shoulder and put her arm around his torso "Tell me about her," she requested, Deuce smiled "Yeah, of course."
Cleo listened intently as he told her about Callie, he was thrilled to talk about her, his face lit up and his grin was adorable. Cleo observed the photo he had, Callie looked adorable.
Deuce revealed that she was eight, and a very cool kid, she liked video games, cooking and punk rock, Deuce looked like it he could talk about her all day, which warmed Cleo's heart.
Cleo was surprised at first when he told her, mostly because it came out of the blue, but learning more about little Calliope made Cleo incredibly happy, Deuce was a dad, and it was so sweet, he had an adorable daughter, Cleo could tell he was a good dad, and that was just from the amount of bragging he was doing.
Deuce blushed when he realized he was rambling about his video game losses to Callie, "Uh sorry, I might have rambled on."
Cleo smiled "It was cute, you guys sound close."
Deuce nodded "We are, she is... the light of my unlife, my pride and joy, to sum it up."
"That's beautiful," Cleo told him, Deuce smiled, then he looked down "Shit are the waffles cold?"
Cleo shrugged "You can make more, right?"
Deuce nodded, and about fifteen minutes later, the pair were settled on the couch, eating waffles, Cleo was laying on his muscled body, her head rested against chest, as he held her softly, his arms once again draped across her torso.
Cleo smiled to herself, she hadn't felt this safe in a long time, Deuce was the type of calm that never be replaced, he was always better at actions then words, and Cleo missed it terribly.
"Is it weird that we only reunited last night and now we're cuddled like a married couple?" Cleo asked, Deuce chuckled "No, I think it feels right,"
Cleo smiled "I do too."
"So, you heard all about my family, how is yours?" Deuce asked. Cleo shrugged "Daddy and I don't talk much, my mother is well, she's on a new dig in China I think, and Nefera is, busy these days."
"You guys finally get along?" Deuce asked, Cleo nodded "We kinda got over our high school crap over the years, we meet up to drink every few months."
Deuce kissed her head "Sounds nice."
"She's still very cocky and annoying though,"
Deuce laughed, "Isn't that her job? To annoy you?"
Cleo rolled her eyes "No," she mumbled, finishing her waffles, Deuce took a sip of coffee, then he laid back and there was a sweet silence for a while, the company was deeply enjoyed by them both.
While Deuce had Cleo cuddled in his arms, they had a few short conversations, but there was mostly just a sweet tender silence, he was just happy to have her around.
Then Cleo spoke up again, "So, Callie? You and her mom have joint custody?" Cleo asked, Deuce nodded "Yep, Callie is at her grandmother's."
Cleo smiled "She's with Maddy?"
"No, Harper's mom, the ghouls went on a road trip,"
"What's your mom think of her?"
"Mom? Uh, she loves her, Callie and her like to team up against me whenever they're together," Deuce answered, recalling some memories in his head.
Cleo giggled, Deuce whispered in her ear "Never works though, Callie loves me too much."
Cleo laughed "That's adorable,"
Deuce kissed along her jaw, Cleo sighed and looked to him "Do you think she'd like me?"
Deuce shrugged "I don't know,"
Cleo pouted "Why not?"
"She doesn't even know you."
"Well, you can fix that."
"I can?" Deuce asked, smirking, Cleo nodded "You can ask me out, and then introduce as more than "Your old friend" "
Deuce smirked, he moved until he was by her side and they were laying on the couch facing each other. "Kiss me if I'm wrong, but I think you're the one who wants to ask me out." Deuce teased.
Cleo blushed and kissed him furiously, Deuce smiled into the kiss, she hated to be wrong, he should of known. He continued to kiss her sweetly, and felt himself consumed by her, she dug her hands into his snakes again, and he wrapped his arms around her back, closing the gap between them.
They eventually pulled apart to breath and Deuce leaned his forehead against hers "Okay maybe you're right-"
"I'm always right." Cleo interrupted quickly.
Deuce smiled "So, does that mean you'll say yes if I ask you out?"
Cleo laughed "You're adorable."
"That's not an answer."
"Does the fact that I spent our entire morning making out with you count?" she asked, smirking proudly.
Deuce pursed his lips "I guess."
"Deucey! Just ask, I'm royalty, I can't be kept waiting."
Deuce laughed "Okay, where do you wanna go? For our next date?"
"Uh no where."
"No where?"
"I want a home cooked meal, no one can cook better than you, and I want the best."
Deuce kissed her cheek "Cooking for you it is then. I'll see when I'm free." Deuce remarked, Cleo smirked "I'll be looking forward to it,"
Deuce looked into her eyes again, he got a date with her, his heart was pounding, this morning felt like a dream, as he leaned in to kiss her again, a knock came to the door. Cleo looked to it and then back to him "Expecting anyone?"
Deuce shook his head "Not as far as I'm aware." he answered, getting up, Cleo got up too, she headed straight to the rest of the waffles on the kitchen, Deuce went to the door and shrugged it open, his eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw who was at his door. Callie and Harper.
End of chapter one.
