Dr. Anya Forger and Secretary of Finances Damian Desmond lead a normal life.
They are your average married couple of the high class of Berlint. It wasn't a story of them being maddening in love with each other, because their parents had a bit of say in it, but they still cared about each other a lot. Even if they weren't the best at saying it.
More than their true feeling, there were things they would never dare to tell their significant others out of embarrassment and shame. Anya, especially, would break a foot before allowing Damian to badmouth her life long hyperfixation that got a reboot three years ago.
Yesterday they argued about something on lunch and the mood was still sour even on breakfast. Anya feels his stare at her as she checks her messages on the tablet and rolls her eyes as he leaves for work without the usual goodbye kiss. What a petty man.
One of the emails caught her attention and she raised eyebrows.
