Chapter Text

I should have known. Why would someone like me deserve someone like him? I'm nobody and will always be nobody. Izuku thought to himself. He had been rejected by his first. First love, first kiss, and first time.

If only he hadn’t presented right in front of Kacchan. He laughed at his circumstances. Everything was against him. No quirk and a male omega.

He had been on his way home from school relieved because it had been such a crappy day. Kacchans lackeys are relentless. He had felt more sluggish than usual and god is it hotter today? He just wanted to go home and sleep. He might be getting sick. When all of a sudden he could smell everything so clearly. His eyes watered and he fell to the ground right as he turned into an alley. His knees stinged from the fall but not as much as his stomach did. He was aching with a need.

The world is spinning and blurry and everything is so hot. Then it hit him. He's presented and not what he wanted to be. He had wished to be anything but an omega. When he was younger, yes, he did because he knew Katsuki would be an alpha. He just knew it so he settled for being Kacchans omega. That was until Katsuki turned on him and started calling him a useless quirkless Deku. “Hah Kacchan.” He whimpered.

“Fuck. Deku.” His eyes shot open and there he was the man he loved and hated so much. His omega started screaming.

MATE. MATE IS HERE HE’LL HELP US.

“Only you'd present in a shitty alley you idiot.” His breathing was ragged.
“Auntie and my old hag would kill me if they found out I left you here, let's go.” He pulled Izuku up and dragged him home.

He fell into his bed and purred. He needs to build a nest but right now that's his last worry. His clothes were so itchy and uncomfortable. He started undressing.

“DEKU WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING.” His eyes dilated, the smell was overwhelming and his mind was fuzzy. It was getting hard to breathe. He needs to leave but he just can’t. A voice whispered in his head.

Omega, mate omega he smells so good.

His body heated up and his body moved before he could think. He was on top of Izuku in a matter of seconds. He nosed Izuku's scent gland and he smelled like chamomile tea on a cold christmas day. God he smelled so good. Izuku whimpered beneath him and he just couldn't do it anymore. “Kacchan please it hurts. '' He was crying and it made his heart hurt. “Shhh I know I know.” He couldn't remember anything after that, but he knew it was the best sex hes ever had. Well not like hes had sex before but you know. His Rut hit and he knew because his Alpha wouldn't shut up about his omega.

He woke up knowing he'd screwed up. What was he gonna do with a quirkless Omega? He was going to be Number One Pro Hero. There was nothing he'd gain from mating a quirkless omega. He dressed and left without glancing at the naked boy.

Izuku woke up cold and feeling dirty. Even then he had the biggest smile. Kacchan spent his heat with him and called Izuku his omega, only his. “Maybe being an omega won’t be so bad.” He whispered to himself neglecting to see His alpha was long gone.

His mom came home to see her son had presented and she supplied things for his nest and would bring him food and water for the next 2 days. On the last day he got up, cleaned himself up and headed to the kitchen to find his mother.

“Mom!” He was so happy.
“Izuku baby, oh you’re okay.” She came and cupped his face with her hands. “I had thought you made tea when I had gotten home the other day.” She laughed. “How are you feeling?” She decided to ask. “Good I feel good.” He was still elated from his first day. He had to go see Kacchan immediately.

He got to school but couldn't find Kacchan anywhere. Not until it was time for class and Katsuki walked in right before the teacher. He didn't even look at him and just sat down.

Mate must be tired.

His omega supplied him. “Yeah.” He whispered. Katsuki ignored him all day and his lackeys were bothering and congratulating Katsuki for presenting as an Alpha. As well, he had an overwhelming smell of burning wood and cinnamon to go with his quirk.

After school he followed Katsuki knowing it'd be best to talk in private. Not a word was spoken until Katsuki turned to walk into his house and could still smell the stupid omega.

Mate smells the best.

Stupid alpha. He turned around and asked, “Why are you following me Deku.” He said with such venom. The omega flinched and with it he felt a ping of pain.

“I- I just wanted to -— I wanted to talk to Kacchan about you know.” He muttered. He looked everywhere but at Katsuki. “No I don’t fucking know so spit it out nerd.” He knew but he truly didn’t want to talk about it.
“We- we pr-presented and and heat shared so I just thought that.” He was cut off before he could even finish. “What? that we'd be together and mate and be the perfect little pair. As if I'd settle for anything but the best. A quirkless omega like you isn’t even close.” The cocky smirk of his face turned grim when he saw those big green eyes look up at him. He was crying but smiling regardless. It made Katsuki sick to his stomach.

You’re hurting omega, you're hurting mate.

Shut Up! he thought.

“You’re right I don’t deserve you Kacchan. I’d be a terrible mate, I don't know what I was thinking.”

No, no perfect mate tell him he's a good omega.

Shut up.

“Damn right. Maybe you should pray that you'll be born with a quirk in your next life. Then take a swan dive off the roof of the building.” He walked inside and shut the door. He didn’t want to see the omega any longer and his alpha wouldn’t shut up.

You’re a stupid alpha who doesn’t deserve omega. How would you say that to omega. Perfect omega, perfect mate.

While Izuku fell to his knees. His heart felt like it had been punched and thrown on the floor and shattered like glass. God it hurts to be rejected. His omega cried alongside him. Until he knew he didn’t want auntie or uncle to find him crying in the front of their house and went home to cry in his mothers arms.

The next day Izuku never showed up to class. A cold sweat broke down Katsukis back. Did Deku actually try to kill himself? He had said it just to get the omega off his back he didn’t think Deku would be stupid enough to listen. No, no he’s just throwing a hissy fit because I didn’t want him. He thought to himself. Then he wasn’t there the day after or the next. Days went by and the nerd never showed up. He hadn’t heard anything either. His old hag and auntie were close so he's sure she'd know. Right?

He went home to ask his mom. The last thing he wanted to do was go check Izuku's home. He wouldn't even know what to say. “Hey nerd just coming to check if you’re alive.” His alpha had been silent for days and he knew it was his fault. He went home and thankfully his mom was already home.

“Hey old hag.” He gruffly said. He felt nervous. Why was he nervous? It was just a simple question.
“Brat, stop calling me that.” She looked over fuming and before she could say anything else she stopped. Her son looked like he had been running for miles. She waited to see if he’d say anything. It looked like he would but a minute passed by and he hadn’t.
“Spit it out already.”
He really did get his temper from her. He wasn’t a damn coward so he did. “Have you heard from auntie recently?” She should have known he'd come sooner or later but he did take his time. She looked away and continued cooking in the kitchen.

“Don’t ignore me. Have you or have you not because Deku hasn’t shown up to school in days.”

“Weeks.” she corrected. “It took you weeks for you to come and ask me that.”
Had it really been that long? The days were just starting to blur together.
“You still haven’t answered my damn question.”
“They moved Katsuki.” She looked so sad and disappointed. Has he caused this? Was this all his fault? Isn’t this what he wanted? He rejected the omega afterall. Yeah he settled this is what he wanted.

Mate is gone.

He had to be okay with this, he made this decision. If only he knew how much he had lost that day.

~~~
Izuku's mom had let him stay home knowing the truth. How else would he explain to his mom why he smelled of sadness and hurt. His mom's nose hurt from the smell. He smelt like burning paper and weeds. Not only was he rejected but so was his omega. It’s surprising he didn’t fall into a drop but not like him and Katsuki were anything. They were never mates and never will be.
2 weeks had passed and he didn’t want to eat or get out of bed. How can he show up to school after that? He couldn’t bring himself to see the Alpha.
Third week and he finally tried to eat the katsudon his mom made for him. First bite and he was rushing to throw up in the bathroom. His mom came fast at the sound.
“Izuku? Izuku honey, are you okay?” Her eyes widened at the sight of her son crouching over the toilet.
Izuku sat down and started crying.
His mom pushed her sweet scent of peach and ginger. She smelled of pie on a warm morning. He relaxed into her warmth. She really did give the best hugs.
Positive. All five of the pregnancy tests his mom got him were positive. He really did have the shittiest luck. A 15 year old quirkless now pregnant mateless male omega. Was it too late to wish to be a beta?
Izuku did question keeping the pup but his heart wouldn’t have been able to handle losing his alpha and pup.
His mom said she’d support her son no matter what he’d decide. Being a parent isn’t easy and she wanted him to finish school.
They did move for Izuku's sake and Inko found a better job.
She picked up more shifts at her job and helped him whenever she could. Izuku finished the rest of junior high online.
What he didn’t expect was what the doctor had to say about his pup. Well pups.
“Congrats Mr. Midoriya you’re having twins!”
“You’re joking right doctor?” Inko asked with a nervous laugh.
“Nope you see here is one and here’s the other.” She smiled back. Izuku didn’t react, he didn't know how to feel. Was the world against him? He knew he’d struggle raising one but two?? His omega was so excited and happy.
Two pups. Good omega carrying two pups.
And his omega was right he wasn’t useless after all, he was carrying two pups.
Strong healthy omega.
He was happy but freaking out hoping this all worked out. He was taking care of more than just himself now. He couldn’t be a hero but he’d sure be a good dam. He wondered if they’d be like Kacchan. That did seem to upset him. Knowing he’d be judged for being a single mother. His alpha not wanting him hurt as well.
Slowly the months passed and his belly grew. Quite fast considering he was small and he was carrying two. He was put on bed rest at 24 weeks. He was not the happiest for 3 months. His mom dealt with a grumpy omega but she found it adorable.
Soon enough his twins were born. A girl and a boy. The perfect pair.
“Izuku, they look just like you!” His mother smiled.
She was right they had his freckled cheeks. Fluffy green curly hair like his. Relief filled him. He really didn’t carry these bundles of joy for months for them to end up looking like Kacchan.
He spoke too soon. His little boy then opened his eyes and stared at him so softly were red eyes. Two small rubies adorned his pup. He chuckled. Guess he’d fall in love with red eyes all over again.
“What will their names be?”
“Keisuke and Keiko.” He had been thinking about their names the moment he found out their primary genders.
“They’re beautiful Izuku. I can’t believe I'm a grandma.” Inko sniffled and looked fondly at her grandchildren. “Can I hold one?” She looked over at Izuku.
“Of course mom.” Inko carefully took Keiko into her arms.
A small gasp escaped her.
“What?” His heart rate picked up. She was smiling down at his daughter.
“She has his eyes. They look so pure and kind on her.”
“Yeah.” He whispered. He was happy. He was happy that he had two beautiful pups.
Good omega.
Then the dam broke. He was crying and his distressing smell startled his pups into crying as well. “Oh Izuku! What's wrong?” Inko inspected him as if trying to find if there was anything physically wrong with him. Until he spoke. “I wish Kacchan was here. I wish my pups had their sire here.” He whimpered. Her heart broke at the sight. Her calming peachy scent took over the room. Until Izuku relaxed and fell asleep and so did his pups.
She sighed knowing what a toll this was going to be on her son. His omega feeling the long rejection along raising his pups on his own without an alpha to help. She knew Izuku was going to make it through this.
That little lapse he had wasn’t mentioned again between themselves. Mostly because Izuku felt embarrassed. He really didn’t want to talk about the stupid alpha either.
The pups had been born in November so he had time to spend with his pups before having to start school again. He hadn’t made up his mind about what school he’d be attending but for now his pups were his priorities.
They were such happy pups. They were perfect and behaved so well. They didn’t really cry unless they were hungry and really really tired. For the most part they’d fall asleep on their own. Izuku couldn’t have hoped for easier pups. He was lucky in that sense. They did throw fits when separated. Izuku just kept them together there was no need to keep them apart so it was no problem.
Inko would come home really late because she was working extra hours to keep them all well fed and taken care of. Izuku felt bad that he had offered to get a job but she was reluctant.
“No Izuku, you watch over the pups and spend time with them. You don’t want to miss out on anything.”
He just sighed and did just that.
Days went by and his pups seemed to be growing up so fast. He cried when they turned a month old. How was he gonna react when they turned one year old? He was too attached to these pups.
Their personalities did start to show a little more. Keiko was a non stop babbling baby. While her counterpart Keisuke was more quiet.
“Alright it’s time for bed little ones.” Izuku giggled hearing Keiko babble as if saying ‘no not yet’. Little Keisuke was half asleep already knowing the time. He laid them down in their crib. They slept together. It was the cutest thing they really gravitated toward each other sometimes holding hands.
He sat down finally being able to relax and breathe.
When was the last time he had a good night's sleep? He thought to himself. He was always on edge not fully being able to fall asleep at night thinking something would happen to his pups.
He glanced over to his pups seeing them peacefully sleep and then slumped deeper into his rocking chair. Slowly he drifted to sleep too.
Izuku woke up abruptly at the ringing of his phone. It was an unknown number. He decided to just ignore it. It stopped only to start again.
“Who-.” He started as he answered.
“Is this Izuku Midoriya?”
“Um y-yes this is him.” He was nervous; the lady on the other side of the line sounded despondent and shaky.
“Your- your mom was um caught in a quirk accident. I'm so sorry but they haven’t found her body.” The woman was wailing now and Izuku's world fell. He felt numb. There’s just no way. It doesn’t make sense.
“What- what do you mean they haven’t found h-her body?” Izuku was beyond himself. He had to go see her. This was a sick joke.
“The building collapsed and she was still in there. They’re still searching for people.” This woman was slowly falling apart on the phone. She cried and cried, her adrenaline rush finally dying down and the whole thing catching up to her.
The woman must have been a close friend of his mom. How else would she know of him? He could faintly hear the heroes in the background and paramedics
“Ma’am we need to check you over.” Then the line caught off.
Before Izuku knew it he was in a cab with his family pups on his way to his mom's job.
