I find it interesting that you mentioned Khaenri’ah and eldritch specifically because I’ve always associated Khaenri’ah with eldritch vibes too, and in some of the earlier chapters Kaeya is going to pick up on that as well. It will actually play a certain role in how his stay with the Ragnvindrs continues! Really any old noble family + eldritch works pretty well but I think it works so well with the Ragnvindrs because there are so many mysteries surrounding them. There’s Crepus taking in a foreign spy (and nobody can convince me that Crepus just accepted that juice story and never once questioned Kaeya’s presence), the origins of that delusion, the details of Diluc’s travels…
The Gunnhildrs and Lawrences are pretty straightforward in comparison so ig there would be less wiggle room to imagine them as eldritch even though it’s still possible - not that the Lawrence Clan deserves to be eldritch creatures in the first place.Ch 2he had indeed taken in a child from the streets, it was highly unlikely that he truly knew nothing of the boy’s heritage. Hence, there were many who wondered about the measure of secrecy surrounding the child.
So far, most citizens were expecting the boy to be a similar creature as the Ragnvindrs. A member of the same strange species flocking to their people, or perhaps an attempt by the Ragnvindrs to fortify their position within the nation by integrating another strange entity into their society.
