Work Text:

Hanho laughed, his hands clutching his side as his voice rang out through the room.

It was almost a relief to hear it, something he frankly hadn’t heard in quite some time. Hanho had always been someone so cheerful, and while the apocalypse around them couldn’t really stop his unnatural emotions. but, it also was an apocalypse and it had clearly been taking a strain on everyone as a whole, including Hanho.

Seongwu raised his eyebrow at him as Hanho continued to giggle. His friend's eyes wandered up towards Seongwu who smiled back at him leaning forward on the sofa. Jisu stood beside Hanho, her eyes filled with annoyance as she crossed her arms together.

Hanho smiled at him, a stupid smile that Seongwu knew was going to keep him up at night and Jisu’s expression shifted every so slightly the second Hanho turned away from her.

“What’s so funny?” Seongwu asked, trying to keep his voice steady as the two moved over to the couch where he sat. They were lucky enough to have gotten it - and oddly enough they were given the same room to share altogether. Hanho had gotten the option to stay with his parents but Seongwu (and Hanho’s own parents) honestly prefered him staying with the two of them instead.

Hanho’s giggles were stifled behind Jisu’s hand as she reached forward to cover his mouth. Hanho barely got out of her reach as he landed right beside Seongwu on the couch. Seongwu looked down at Hanho who finally giggled out the words, “ Dagger Duffus and Fire devil. ”

Seongwu couldn’t help his own smile as he looked up to Jiso whose face was red with embarrassment, “he finally heard?”

Hanho pouted at him, resting his head against Seongwu’s legs, “ you knew! ” Hanho complained as Jiso covered her face with her hands, finally she sighed to herself and settled down on the other end of the couch beside Hanho. Seongwu and Hanho both looked at each other before Hanho surges up from where he was laying on Seongwu’s lap and quickly pounced. Frankly, Hanho barely weighed anything at all to them, the two were fully able to pick him up and carry him around. It was almost funny. She showed no discomfort at his actions, wrapping her arm around him and pulling him into a hug as it was very clear all of Hanho’s air was knocked out of his lung.

Seongwu laughed, tapping her arm to let her know it was likely Hanho would pass out if she continued. She let Hanho wilt like a flower in her arms as she nervously laughed, “sorry Hanho,” she said, likely realizing their differences in strength.

It was kind of weird how much stronger they were than him, even though when they were both at level eight they were still both much stronger than him. Seongwu is just somewhat grateful Hanho had managed to get the one invulnerability skill before he would have gotten hurt back in the dungeon.

Hanho laughed again, wrapping his own arms around her before looking at Seongwu with eyes that will likely kill him when he tries to fall asleep thinking about them. Seongwu wants to hide his face but let out a long breath of what would seem like annoyance to anyone else but to the two in front of him was filled with fondness.

Seongwu moved across the couch letting Hanho wrap one of his arms around him before they found themselves cuddling, ideally not the best position for three people but Seongwu would make whatever peaceful time they had together right now last forever if he could.
