By the time Yuuji’s brain catches up to his body, he notices a muffled hitching sound coming from the alpha that he definitely hadn’t been making just moments ago.

“Fucking knew he was hiding it.” The words are rough and crackly, catching in his throat.

“Your real scent,” Satoru sing-songs, muffled from where he’s shoved his entire face into Yuuji’s flushed neck, evidently still coherent enough to at least try to hang on to his irritating personality. “Knew you weren’t a beta.
