Degenbrecher raised an eyebrow at the two figures which stood before her in the Rhodes Island corridor. She asked a question to which she already knew the answer, just to see what they would say. “What are you two doing here?”
“I want to consult with some of my former colleagues in the lab,” Gnosis said, pushing up his glasses primly.
“I’m here to check on Ensia and have a chat with the Doctor,” Enciodes smiled.
For two people who were very good actors, they were terrible liars. Or maybe she just knew them too well to believe anything but the fact that those reasons were completely fabricated or extremely extemporaneous ones.
