A decade after reclaiming Erebor, Thorin still struggles with the dragon sickness. Bilbo arrives and tells him it is not a sickness but a curse which can be broken. Bilbo also has a sickness of his own - he must destroy the ring. Also Frodo is their son, but Bilbo hides that fact until he returns from Mordor.
