- Manor Era -
3,247 words / On an impromptu trip to the dump to find a battery for N, Tessa meets V for the first time. The recently reactivated drone has severely damaged optical processing sensors and is caught by the leg in a trash compactor, but that isn’t going to stop Tessa from adding a new member to her little found family.
8,126 words / 3 chapters, completed! / The morning after Tessa pulls V out of the dump, she immediately gets to work repairing the blind drone with the help of J and N. Unfortunately, V's sight problem is much deeper than just a surface level fix.
Beneath the Corpses Watch Glowing Yellow Eyes

3,372 words / 5 chapters, completed! / Tessa, upon finding a strange little drone in the dump, unsurprisingly adds it to her little family. The drone is damaged and disobedient, but nothing will stop Tessa from making her feel right at home, regardless of how many problems she causes (or servants she eats).
2,649 words / Tessa is injured by her mother after protecting Cyn from her wrath, resulting in J having to help patch her up and Tessa to deal with the growing anger her friend holds towards..... essentially everything.
1,253 words / It's tune-up day at the Elliot's, or, with Tessa at least. Cyn has only been at the manor for a short time, so Tessa hasn't had an opportunity to fix her up, leaving her a walking liability. After some reassurance, Cyn finally lets the human repair her, leading to the moment Cyn decides to spare Tessa.
3,084 words / James and Louisa go out to dinner, leaving N, V, J, Tessa, and Cyn home alone. To take advantage of the lack of parent supervision, the decide to watch a movie, which gives Cyn some much needed inspiration. This will of course result in long-lasting consequences.

2,255 words / Long before the events of the Gala, N finds himself thrown out into the swamp in the midst of a snowstorm. Out of options, Cyn intervenes and reveals her strange powers to the others in order to save her big brother.
2,349 words / J was never an emotional drone, but when her best friend is left crying in the closet after a rather harsh encounter with her father, she must brave human emotions to try and make her feel better.
Buried Treasure (In Your Heart, or That Grave)
1,700 words / Tessa and J go grave robbing. While GAY.
5,411 words / While Tessa's parents are away on a company trip J could only dream of attending, Tessa gives her drone a spa day to keep her mind off of it. Fluffy romance ensues.
2,663 words / Tessa receives a severe beating from her mother following an unsatisfactory grade, and J, N, V, and Cyn help her through the aftermath.

1,629 / From the first planet she was sent to, J had sworn to herself that she would avenge Tessa. That she would kill Cyn and make up for how she failed her beloved human. But no one can hold out forever in a cycle of being killed by a demon wearing your best friend's skin. J would crack, and she would succumb.
1,272 words / V hasn't been able to feel anything truly real for a long time. The thrill of the hunt is dwindling, and her core is left an empty void after she catches that fleeting high. But, when N startles her on a hunt, she discovers that hurting his feelings finally makes her feel something. Guilt. Or, we see why V acted the way she did in the pilot flashback when N was telling Uzi about his squadmates.
2,071 words / On the pod carrying Cyn to Copper-9, she synthesizes J a new body after Uzi destroyed the one-gone-eldritch. And while redownloading into the new one, J dreams of Her.
2,955 words / Uzi sneaks to Doll's place to have a sip of oil not long after prom, hoping that some extra coolant will help her suddenly concerningly high internal temperature. What began as a sip turns into something much worse, and something that Uzi will have to deal with one way or another.
1,814 words / After the Prom incident, Uzi invites N over to look at the clues about Doll and the Solver she's collected, but she finds out that N has been avoiding drinking oil and is close to overheating. In a moment of desperation, she offers to give him some of her's.
When Life Gives You Lemons, You Un-Sever a Torso
3,890 words / While on the fieldtrip to Camp 98.7, Thad returns to the campfire after a sort trip to the bus, and finds Rebecca horribly mangled. To his surprise, she's somehow alive. Refusing to let her die, he finds a way to get them both back to the bunker, but will it be too late to save her by the time they get there?
Thirsty for Oil and So Very Hot
1,218 words / In which Uzi relives her feral meltdown at Camp 98.7, and has to grapple with the fact that she has to eat people now.
1,653 words / V gets a surprise visit from Lizzy who wants to know what happened to Uzi at Camp 98.7 and about the Absolute Solver. The two talk, and realize they might have more in common than they first thought.
10,379 words / Following the Camp 98.7 incident, Uzi now has wings, which means she needs to learn how to use them. N and V take her out for a flying lesson, and let's just say things don't go quite as planned.
4,659 words / N and Uzi have their first sleepover, where the two desperately try (and fail) to beat off cheesy romantic tropes with a stick while trying to have a fun evening full of shenanigans.
3,924 words / For weeks Lizzy has been grappling with her growing feelings for V and decides to make a move at the two's first sleepover, which causes the night to go a little differently than either of them had originally planned.

973 words / In which V somehow survives the Sentinels, and wonders how she managed to regenerate despite being ripped to shreds by ravenous mechanical dinosaurs.

5,252 words / 11 chapters, in progress / Uzi, having swallowed the Singularity and thus the Solver itself, now has to live with the consequences. Cyn now lives on inside of her tail, forced to be with Uzi 24/7. Cyn seems to be rather benign and powerless now, but nothing is stopping her from being incredibly annoying.
3,808 words / A while after Cyn's defeat, J collects the remains of Tessa, determined to honor her regardless of how much it hurts.
