The boy blinked, glanced back towards the door as if considering walking right on out again.
Good, he should leave, there’s still twenty people behind him.
Because Gotham hates Kel personally, the boy didn’t leave. He turned fully towards her, not quite meeting her eye.
“Tim Drake.” He said quietly. “I have double pneumonia.”
Kel blinked.
The boy blinked back.
He was fine, he was literally fine. Someone with double pneumonia doesn’t look like that, not to mention he was barely what, fifteen? Sixteen?
“I’m sure you don’t feel very well,” Kel said, summoning her best customer service understanding voice. “But pneumonia mostly affects older populations. Go home and take some aspirin.”
