I've seen several Sophia repentence stories, but this (and the sequel) is one of the few I can actually respect. First, they get to know each other out of costume before the reveal, second, the adults react appropriately when they discover what's been going on, and third, the reconcilation takes time (and a few life-saving battles) to stick. That Sophia actually makes use of therapy and is hit over the head with her toxic mindset several times before her full redemption also makes it more believable.
