Sonic finally made it to the end of the forest and looked around the area. He saw nothing but trees around him. Sonic smiled and jumped up making a Woo ho! sound. "Yes! Sonic for the win! No surprise there though since I am the fastest creature to ever exist." Sonic snickered.
Crack!
Sonic quickly turned to the random noise of what sounded like a branch breaking but saw nothing but trees and empty passage ways. He raised a brow and slowly started walking towards where he heard the sound. "Guys is that you..?" Sonic quietly questioned.
Crunch!
He turned around again and was met with a dark figure peeking behind the tree. Sonic furrowed his brow and hesitantly started walking towards the random figure. "..Tails? Is that you buddy..? O-or maybe it's you Knuckles..right?" Sonic started quietly praying.
Sonic got closer and slowly reached his hand out only for the figure to start to move forward to the light. Sonic quickly took his hand back and moved backwards. As the figure moved more to the light Sonic could make out that the random person was a robot.
Sonic eyes subtly widened. It was not just any normal robot though this robot looked like its design was made to look like him. He was so distracted by the robot in front of him that he didn't notice others coming out from behind the trees. He looked around and found himself trapped.
He got into a fighting position but as soon as he was gonna go for the one in front of him he got jumped by a robot on the side. He slid through the dirt and crashed into a tree. As he was about to get up another one of the robots jumped on top of him. He saw the Robot raise his arm.
He closed his eyes shut and waited for the punch to the face..
Clash!
Sonic slowly opened his eyes and saw the robot no longer on top of him. He turned to see the robot crashed into a tree and in pieces. Who just saved him? He looked around and spotted a person with a brown hood and alongside that person was a pink and yellow hammer.
He watched as they destroyed each and every robot and with no difficulties. He saw them put their hammer down and take a breath then they looked back at Sonic and started to walk towards him. Sonic didn't know whether to panic or not.
The person got in front of him and reached out their hand. Sonic took their hand and helped himself get back up and on his feet. He dusted the dirt off of himself and then looked back at the person. He raised a brow and hoped they noticed his confusion.
The person raised a hand to their face and chuckled before slowly taking off their hood. Once light was shown on their face Sonic noticed that it was another hedgehog just like him but it was a girl. She had beautiful emerald eyes just like him. She raised a brow and smiled.
"W-who are you?"
The girl put a hand on her chest with confidence and smirked. "I'm Amy, Amy Rose."
Sonic slowly smiled finding her not that scary anymore and reached out his hand in offering a shake. "Well nice to meet you Amy! I'm Son-"
"Sonic the Hedgehog, yes I know." Amy said, cutting Sonic off and taking his hand.
"How do you know me?"
"Hello? Your Sonic the Hedgehog, The Sonic the Hedgehog! You're famous for God sakes! Who wouldn't know you?"
Sonic rubbed the back of his quills and chuckled. "I guess you're right about that.."
"Well anyway its really nice to have another per-"
"Sonic!? Are you okay!?"
Sonic got a little startled by the new voice and looked around in confusion. Amy looked around as well before noticing that Sonic had a glowing bracelet on his wrist. "I think the voice came from that little bracelet on your wrist." Amy claimed, pointing at Sonic's wrist.
Sonic looked down and noticed it was the same bracelet he used to communicate. Dang, he must've forgotten to take it off before going for that run. As he was about to press it the communicator started to glow again.
"Sonic!? Are you there!?"
He looked down and smiled. They really do care for him that much they would try every little thing to talk to him..but enough of that he really needs to answer before they actually make a missing person report. "I'm fine, no need to worry buddy!"
"Oh Sonic is talki-" "Sonic where the heck are you!??"
It went from tails to Maddie, crazy how much people want to know where you are. "Hey Mom! To tell you long story short I won the race and ended up getting into a fight with robots that look like me and meet someone new that saved me."
"What!? Are you okay? Did you get injured badly??"
Now it was Tom talking through the communicator. He wonders when Knuckles is gonna start talking. "Trust me i'm fine, I only have a few scratches!"
"Who is this new person you say?"
There's Knuckles. Sonic looked up at Amy and smiled. "How 'bout I bring her home so you guys can meet her?"
"Uh I guess that's fine.."
"Great see ya'll in a bit!" And with that he shut off the communicator. He looked back up to Amy and smiled. She softly smiled back but it didn't seem like it was a happy smile but more of an uncomfortable smile. This made Sonic furrow his brows.
"Amy, are you okay?"
"I'm fine! It's just I don't know how they would react to me.."
"Trust me if they accepted me, my buddy tails, and Knuckles i'm sure they will accept you!"
Amy softly chuckled. "I hope you're right.."
"Trust me, I'm always right! Anyway let's start going before it gets too dark!"
Both left chatting leaving the broken robots in the dust. Not noticing the red light shining through the dark.
