   Summary

   After her father's death and getting dishonorably discharged from the military, Osla 'Rook' Mercar moves into her friend's abandoned farm, to take care of the animals and to escape her personal demons. Turns out Mournville has enough of its own, locally sourced demons to haunt her all winter. Will the town's veterinarian, Doctor Volkarin, be able to dispel some of that darkness? Can Osla keep him safe?
