“I knew it.”
She stared at Rumi, the girl desperately trying to hide the marks on her skin.
“I knew it was too good to be true.”
“Mira, no! Didn't you see..? See the gold We're so close!” Rumi pleaded, looking at her with tears in her eyes as Mira and Zoey stepped back.
“No! Don't leave! Don't leave! I can still FIX IT!! ” A wave of pink shot out towards them, causing both her and Zoey to stumble back by the force. Her woldo materialised in her hands, lifting it up until it was pointed at the demon marked girl.
Her hands shook slightly as she stared at the girl she had trusted. Mira’s gaze hardened and she could see Rumi’s face break into tears.
Her grip tightened on the handle, a futile attempt to stop the subtle shake as she held back tears. Rumi turned her head to Zoey, who was already sobbing.
“Zoey- please. ” Rumi tearfully spoke, staring at the two girls who once were close friends. Her expression dropping as Zoey pulled out two Kunai, defensively holding them in front. Sobbing, she picked herself off of the ground and bolted out through the doors.
The shaking never stopped, ever after Rumi left. Her weapon still held up until a hand was placed on her shoulder.
“Mira..?”
A meek voice called out, gentle hands pushing her weapon down until she let it disappear. Mira turned her head to Zoey as the girl grabbed her hands, breathing deeply to get through the pain that Rumi’s marks had caused.
A loud shudder breaking their quiet moment. Rushing outside to see waves of pure pink. The trembling in her hands coming back fast as ever.
“No..”
“The Honmoon! It’s coming apart,” Zoey had a frown on her face as she saw the damages the demons had done. Mira gripped her hands to stop it.
This was the end of them, wasn’t it..?
