Alex never thought he'd end up back here at his Papaws farm in the middle of nowhere Pelican Town. It's bullshit. Everything has left a bitter taste in his mouth that can only be satiated at the bottom of a bottle. The deep-seated anger in his heart has pushed away his want for genuine human connection. Everything feels like too much, like a brand on his soul. He hates it.
But sometimes all it takes is an equally cynical emo to come and fuck it all up.
