He stumbled down the stairs, vision blurry, head spinning. It was a miracle he hadn't fallen before getting to the bottom. He was limping, fighting to stay upright, grasping onto the walls like a lifeline to keep him standing. He couldn't breathe, he couldn't think.
His mouth was dry, stomach upset, and he could feel the bile threatening to rise up. And all he could do was continue on, he wouldn't be able to make it back up to his room at this point.
So he kept walking, gasping for air as he took each step, tripping over his own feet as he went.
And after what felt like ages, he finally made it to the kitchen, it was mostly dark, with the exception of the light peeking through from the under-cabinet light strips one of the dumbasses probably had forgotten to turn off.
And he couldn't do it anymore, he couldn't stay up, his knees hit the cold linoleum floor and his head spun. The cupboards were moving, the walls bendy and the lights stretching across his vision.
His head felt like it was going to implode. He could distantly hear a voice, a warm presence coming up behind him. He couldn't make out what was being said to him.
His thighs hurt. They burned. It was all he could focus on. He couldn't hear or think or see what was going on around him. All he could do was feel. Feel the glowing pain emanating from his legs, aching and throbbing.
His vision was white, his ears ringing, and fuck.
He was scared.
He just wanted it to stop.
And like a switch being flipped, he was snapped out of his trance by the green-haired boy knelt down in front of him. Holding his hands, feeling his wrists for his pulse, and speaking in soothing hushed tones.
He wanted to escape into that warmth. Get lost in the boy's voice. Fully engulf himself in the presence of Izuku.
Fucking.. wait- Izuku?
"-Kacchan it's gonna be okay, I just need you to breathe for me, you can do that, I know you can-"
He didn't know how long he had been holding his breath but he was swiftly thrown into a coughing fit as he tried his best to regain his breath.
"-three, four, exhale.. inhale one, two, three.." once he processed what was being said to him, he tried his hardest to comply with the warm voice of his lover.
"four, exhale.. Kacchan you're doing so well, just focus on your breathing, okay?"
He shut his eyes, tears falling as he slowly began breathing steadily once again, no longer gasping for air, and he allowed himself to fall into the arms of the boy in front of him.
His breath stuttered as he sniffled and allowed himself to cry into Izuku's chest, where he was being cradled like a small child, but he couldn't bring himself to feel shame, he was just overwhelmed with relief that someone was here to help him. He couldn't do this on his own.
