Summary
Jiang Cheng is, all things considered, relatively content with his life. There are of course some days that are harder than others. Days where he still longs for approval from his long dead parents. Nights where he wishes his sister was still here to tell him how to calm Jin Ling's cries. Hours where the darkness in his room curls its icy fingers into his mind solely to remind him that he's so so alone.
On the daily though, he's relatively content. Almost happy, even. Raising one nephew and frequently babysitting the other, mending his relationship with Wei Wuxian, and drowning his sorrows in piles and piles of work. It's a simple life, but since he can't have what he lost, he supposes this is the next best thing.
