Her actually wanting a friend, deep down, despite it not having any bearing on her continued admission or survival is really humanizing, as is her awkwardness and partial obliviousness. Her starting out, caring about Zanka even a little bit and wanting to be his friend specifically is a ground foundation for the ship in spite of her relative lack of canon characterization at the moment. Bravo!💖💕💖
